It may only be an hour time difference, but the repeated stress of changing your internal clock with these flights hass to take a toll somewhere. zipp1 - 2008-03-10 8:01 PM Beth, Have the antibitics kicked in for you to start feeling better yet? they have and I do still dragging a bit, but what do you expect after flying halfway across the country this morning, right? Best thing might be to try to go to bed and get up at the same time regardless of what timezone you are in...cant have beth always tired! LOL good point - |

So when do you start? lastcall2003 - 2008-03-10 7:54 PM You better believe it! I have worked weekends for 30+ years if you count from when I started working at the nursing home in high school.zipp1 - 2008-03-10 11:36 AM I was ofered the job with the insurance company! Offer is okay but not fabulous money--however there are NO weekends, holidays, mandatory stupid meetings, on call or drunken jerks in this picture so it's well worth it! yaaaay! so this is a good thing, right???? The speaker for that mandatory thing was good but I just don't think all these suggestions are really that practical in the hospital (particularly ER) setting. They're going to start som mandatory 10 minute "team huddle" BS starting next week at the beginning of each shift. HA, a consistent time for each shift to do that huddle? We have NO CONTROL over what rolls into the department and WHEN it rolls in--can be quiet now and crazy in the next 5 minutes with the proverbial line at triage or squads rolling in... that is awesome Judi!!!! |
