Sheesh, stay off the computer for a few days and the board blows up! Awesome! Great to have an active group.

106 degrees is crazy. The humidity down here in soFla is ridiclous (feels like somebody just breathed hot air all over you or a cow just licked your whole body), but we never get that high in temps.

No tips on the playlists - I like to run "naked". HOWEVER, I did just see Bon Jovi this weekend (aren't you jealous ;) I am totally crushing on Old School Jon Bon Jovi right now), so I'll put a plug in for the 80s hairbands. I've been rockin to them all day on Youtube.

Yes, this group is pretty lively. Yup, you really do fit right in--you've had a cow lick your whole body??? (KIDDING!!! Or wait, who'm I to judge? If so ... good for you!)

I strongly encourage running naked if outside ... it's safer and gives you a much better feel for where your body and natural cadences are at.

Plus, I'm sure it makes others happy. Because they're not dodging around a person wearing headphones, of course.

A tattoo! There's a thought. I wish it were just grease...it actually took a bite, but I don't think a big enough one to leave a scar.

Yeah, I know, but it reminded me of how hot grimy I look after I ride.  I know that hurts, scar or no scar!

On a totally unrelated matter....I want to steal your avatar! LOL I'm another 'pink girl.'

Heh.  Thanks, I love my avatar... you ought to see me in a challenge when I feel it *might* be in jeopardy (this is when I break out my pink whips).

Yes, I love pink and I love my bike... and I realized long ago that pink is easy to spot in transition.  Therefore, pretty bike, meet pink, pink, meet pretty bike (too bad it's tough to see the pink speedplays in this picture):

I am the opposite of a pink gal, but friends with many!  I always joke -- should I wear my black clothes or my black clothes?  Wearing my javelin trisuit which is NEON green and black is a real stretch for me this season.  I haven't seen a picture in it yet.....kinda scared. I know there are some from yesterday.....hmmm.

And I always get chain grease on my leg, too!!!  Funny!  Maybe it is our huge, bulging muscles getting in the way?

That's what photoshop is for!  If you need anything done, send requests my way, my hubby is a pro and can do just about anything.  I should have him go through all my race pix and take off about 20 pounds!  Heheh.

OK, men AND women can be edited!  I wore mine yesterday and felt soooo bright.  I hadn't planned on exposing all of me to the racing world quite yet, but it was hot.  So there ya go.  Hopefully the brightness detracted from the flab!    The good thing about tris is there are people wearing all sorts of stuff, and always someone in a smaller uniform!

Yup, yup, yup... oh, yeah, and... YUP!  I have tons of playlists from my cycle classes (I'll post another one shortly because I am a giver like that...) but I run without one unless I'm on the dreadmill.  It does really concern me to see people listening to an iPod on the bike, though.  Cyclists are more invisible to cars than runners... so important to be totally aware of your surroundings on the bike.

Do you have room for one more?

I am a marathoner looking to turn into a triathlete in '08 and think the advice from the two of you would be great.

It looks like my Spring group is going to continue, but I would like to branch out a bit to get to know some more BT folks and pick up any advice I can on swimming (my weak link!).

This seems like a fun group. Have room for another?

My name is Charlotte. Have been a member of BT for awhile (3 years), mostly a lurker. Would like to break out of that. Did one season of tris (2006), focused on running for 2007 and this year I am revving up all my training. Doing my first HIM (Florida 70.3) May 18. Actually, these next two months will be very busy for my husband and I. There is Florida. Also, we are moving from Texas to Georgia so, we are trying to sell our house or praying for a renter. And I will transition from an office worker to a telecommuter. So, I could use a place on BT to guide/encourage/stalk Surprised me over the next few months.

Just turned 34. My husband laughed when I said I am getting old...this is my last year in the 30 -34 age group. I move into a whole new age group next year! Laughing We don't have kids. Just two cats who recently decided they do not like each other.

I was a dancer through high school and college. After that I just worked-out. Never a runner or swimmer or cyclist. Owned a mountain bike until it was stolen. Not sure how I got to triathlons (hubby’s idea?) but I love it. And it is even better that my husband loves triathlons too! My goal for this year (besides finishing the 70.3) is to run a consistent 9:30 mile and not let hills slow me down on the bike.

I have been pretty good about posting my workouts but in order to keep me from getting too preoccupied with BT I must limit my time. Therefore, I may not post as often as others but I will actively participate.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Where in Georgia will you be moving?  There is a huge tri community with many active tri clubs here!

Augusta. Grew up there and moving back for just over a year. My husband is in the Army and will attend school at the post there. I see you are in the Atlanta area. Fun! I am a bit jealous. We plan to make it up to that area quite a bit. Are you doing any races in the Atlanta area this year? I am considering the Iron Girl-not really the Atlanta area but... Just concerned with the timing. We will have only been in GA for 2-3 weeks. Attempting a race in the middle of a move…not impossible just a challenge.

Group mascots are required to post pictures of their legs. Often. And anything else they would like, provided they are still able to remain the group mascot as a part of BT, y'know, hmmmm?
