I completed stage 7, but my right knee is bugging me.  The next few days will determine whether I'm going to be able to make my goal or need to take some time off to recover.

Take care of your knee.  Remember - Ice is your friend...  I hope it feels better.

Thanks Michael.  I have been using ice and it does help to some degree.   I was able to get out again this morning for another ride and am now through stage 8.   That puts me over the half-way mark.

Great job but don't bust yourself up over a challenge, if you need to rest you need to rest.

What kind of pedals do you use?  I have heard people with knee issues talk about liking speedplays because of the float.

I really want to talk some smack to other teams but no one else is doing it.

Saunier Duval is the #1 team and last stage was #1 and #2 with Ricco not too far away.  He has gotten alot of press so far with his 2 stage wins and was in the pack right behind teammates in the last stage.

Hey guys,

Thanks to Jenn I have now gotten Stage #11 done and I did #10 yesterday. So I am at 11 Stages done for 1,170 minutes/19.5 hrs.

Dcon: take care of that knee.

Everyone else: ride safe and well

Chris

I'm through stage 9 today although I kept the ride to a short 45 minutes.

Tony: the knee issue is an ongoing problem that I'm trying to figure out.  I originally thought it was running, but it is has been showing up even after I stopped running.  I'll have to look into those speedplays.  I haven't seen them yet in the shops here.  Needless to say, Shimano commands a significant market share.

 Chris: nice rides!

Now that Ricco has tested positive for EPO, and the entire Saunier Duval team has withdrawn from the Tour, I'm not so sure you want to be talking smack... just sayin'....

Umm a few are doing it.... the people most fun to provoke include the CSC crew, blagels on credit agricole... ummm..... Caisse D'Epargne will usually repspond.. does that help?

Cat said we could change our team if we wanted to, up to everyone else.

I am pretty dissapointed myself.  I kind of followed the tour in the past and maybe rooted for a rider or two but this was the first year I was following an entire team and looked forward to going home and seeing how each of the team memers did...

Now I just don't have nearly as much interest in the results...

IMHO - we started this as a team and we'll finish it as a team.  No positive testing going on here.   I've got no problem continuing the challenge as Saunier Duval Team.  I say let's concentrate on kicking a little a$$ - and let the other teams spend the energy on the smack talk.  Let's win this thing!

Don't be discouraged by your team dropping out of the tour.  You should continue working as a team right here!  Cheers to you and keep up the good work.

Heard that several members of Garmin-Chipoltle tested positive for Guacamole in the blood so they raided the hotel rooms and found stacks of burritos.

Oh, I didn't mean quit the challenge, just wondering if you guys wanted to change to a team that was still in the tour.

THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!  Great job team!

Since I'd have to find out what EPO was before I could use it, I think it's a pretty safe bet that I'll be able to stay away.  Hey, let's win this thing and all the whinny teams (and you know who you are) will be clammering for us to drug test.  hehe.
