I am seriously surprised at how many cars most of you have owned. I got my license in the mid 80's. Since then I have owned 4 vehicles. heh.

1. 1986 Volkswagon GTI 5 speed manual. Used. Fun, but a POS and very costly.

2. 1995 Dodge Neon.

3. 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic.

4.  2003 Jeep Liberty Limited (Which I am still driving w 96k miles on it.)

I pale by comparison.. crazy.

I am hoping my next vehicle comes in 2011 and is a Dodge or Jeep hybrid - alternate fuel source of some kind.

I've only ever bought/owned one car: '00 Volvo V70XC. I will drive it until it dies or Volvo's C30 plug-in hybrid arrives in US showrooms, whichever comes first.

Now for cars I've driven. Not counting rentals, just ones that belong(ed) to friends/family and that I've driven on multiple occasions:

'89 Volvo 240 DL

'92? Chevy Suburban

'96? Lexus ES300

'99? Toyota Tacoma

'01 Volvo XC70

'04 BMW X5

'05 BMW 325i

'06? Toyota Tacoma

'03 Saab 9-3 hatchback

'94 Ford Thunderbird. My first car and I loved it. Nice V8. I went through tires like crazy. Oh to be young again.

'89 Honda CRX. Still own. Who needs a Prius when your car already can break 40mpg (most I've gotten is 52). It's basically a motorcycle with 4 wheels though -- a deathtrap.

I did not own cars for about 10 years, I worked for Ford, and we got a new company car every qtr.

We could only get 1 V8 per year and always went for the Mustangs, nice raw power!!

The supercharged thunderbirds were good for awhile, more horsepower than a mustang, but V6!
