So that was my unique intro...

I am very excited about the coming season.  I am going to do my first oly.  I am hoping to do a second oly in Wisconsin with my friend Dave (He is responsible for introducing me to triathlon).  The final triathlon I have planned is a paddle, bike, run...I will be borrowing my roommate's kayak.

There are not enough hours in the day for me to get everything done.  This makes my goal ambitious, but I will do my best.  Unfortunately for the team(and my training), my schoolwork and job need to come first. I would cut the job out of my schedule, but I can't go without health insurance.  Oh, there are bills that need to be paid as well.

colesdad - 2009-02-03 5:34 PM Hey everyone, names Bob and in my 2nd season of Tri's. Plan on 4 to 5 full Tri's, 1 with canoe instead of swim and hopefully a HIM (or 1/2 Du) in October. Gonna be nice here in Jersey this weekend (snowing all day today!) and in the 50's so plan on hitting the pavement for the 1st time in a long time.

Hey-my tentative last tri in 2009 is substituting a 3 mile kayak (or canoe) for the swim.   I am excited.

Nice intro. I've done the canoe Tri the last 2 years and it's a blast and it's for a great cause as it's run by the brother/wife of a guy who died at the WTC on 9/11. It makes it hard to that day on the hills or cause of the heat.

Hi team!

what's on tap today?

it's a rest day for me

Today's workout was on the lighter side.  I just got back from a pilates class and this morning I did push ups (week 5, day 1 of the push up challenge).

it's very tasty!

I, too, may be partaking in such a recovery drink.  Great idea!  Maybe it will help warm the feet back up

As far as triathlon is concerned, this is a rest day.  I all other areas I have been busy, busy, busy.

I have accomplished a bunch.  I don't know if I am going to get a workout in this weekend.  I would really like to, but realistically I do not have the time. I could do an all nighter...

Hi! I just got back from the ski hill. Had a really bad full-body collision, but you can read it in my blog if it interests you. I came away with only a sore shoulder, but I think I'm going to find some achy spots in the morning.

Corona Light? I don't think we have them in Australia! No tri specific training for me today, just played cricket for 5 hours - mostly just standing in the sun. A bit of a ride and hopefully a swim tomorrow, except it's my grandma's 80th bday so I don't know how much I'll get done.

less than a hour left of the open house/jewelry show.  Then I can go home and relax...and do some schoolwork.  It is a bummer that I didn't bring my workout stuff.  My parents house is less than a mile from the gym.  Maybe I will try to get a swim in this evening.

Maybe not.  I would have to rush straight home and then straight back to the pool to get a short swim in.  Or do anything.  The Y closes at 6 on Saturdays.
