I am surprised Greece does not have any TdF coverage - it is still Europe....

Back from 43 mile ride (wussed out of the 15 mile tack on) 4000 ft of climbing - not nearly what our boys in France are doing but my little wimpy version....

I MIGHT download some of the courses from mapmyride for the computrainer for the winter - will have to pick one of the plain rides rather than mountain though!

Most ppl are interested in football! So pathetic! Cycling and cyclists aren't popular at all.... which reminds me that yesterday a driver came soooo close to killing me. He overtook me and turn right just in front of me to enter a tunel. Needless to say that I had to brake like crazy and my front wheel got less than 20cm from the side of his car! Now I'm so pissed with myself that I didn't get his plate number!Anyway...

Have a great week team!

Oh that is scary!!!! I am often amazed at what drivers do - and sometimes pedestrians!!!  It is one of the reasons I drove out to do yesterday's ride - quieter roads....long rides are hard enough without all the stupidity!

Hi Team! I've been out of town at a conference but did some riding while I was gone. Have everything logged and will start to post regularly.

About me...40+ yr old female, mother of three (9, 6 and 40+ yr old male...hubby!). Live on east coast of Florida, near Daytona Beach. This is my fourth triathlon season - just starting to place in my age group and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the bike. Running is my weakness but June's challenge helped me a lot.

Look forward to "meeting" and learning from all of you. Go Team!!

Whoa!!  That sounds really scary.  I've only been to Crete, but was scared just driving.  Can't imagine biking on those roads.  I had a car/bike collision in the US years ago and am still a nervous cautious rider to this day.  Glad to hear you managed to avoid contact.  Let it go and remember that you have to always ride defensively.  Glad you are good to ride another day.

24 miles today. Got it in before it gets too hot. Now off to pickup race packet for sprint this weekend then to the store for something to bbq and a few beers for pre race day relaxing in the sun/shade depending. May do a swim in the am.
Have a nice weekend all and enjoy the bike riding and watching the tour.

Did another stage this morning (32K). Good thing, it is raining now.... I am well on track to meet my objectives. Only 3 more stages and 78K and I will be done. Planning on doing another stage tomorrow (approx 40-50K).

Afternoon everyone.  Was a crazy week at work, so didn't get much done workout wise.  Ran this morning.  Will bike tomorrow.  I decided to be a "big girl" and clean/lube the bike chain myself today.  Nice neighbor guy or LBS guys usually do it for me.  Wook.  What a messy job that is.  Especially if you let it get as dirty as I had.   It does look very nice though now.  Will now treat myself to a cold Stella Artois (or maybe two) and watch the Tour.

Good afternoon Team,

I loved watching the Tour again today and was so excited to see our guy Thor keep the green. Even if Cavendish did change lines and get some in his way. I am currently up to date on my Stages and hours and should be getting in to Paris with the guys.

Everyone is doing just great and I love how we may not talk as much as some of the other Teams but we make up for it with our legs....kindof like our Cervelo Test Team.

Have a great rest of the day and ride if you can.

Chris

Morning team. Got an 18-mile interval ride in this morning and felt pretty good, despite the sore knee.

What is everyone else doing today?

Hi Team,
Did the Valley Girl sprint tri today. Had a fun time. Going to call the bike ride a TT today because I hammered it on the bike. Great bike course. Got a total of 16 miles in because I rode to the race start

Great job!

I watched the tour this morning which inspired me to try one of the hill courses on my trainer...and needless to say my legs are on fire! I have no idea how those guys do it. My legs are sore and tired after a couple days of my 22 mile ride and they are riding up to 5 hours a day!

all I kept thinking as I was out there today is that they went UPHILL for 8 miles at a time at like 7% grade with wattage over like over 400 - that is a  TOTALLY different sport than what I do!!!!

I was not feeling well, but still rode 60 miles.  A true HTFU ride.
