What's wrong CHR15, Cat got your tongue?

Sylvain Chavanel is out ahead.  I'll bet P&P are giddy with delight that they can say his name...

so what are we thinking of Astana and Lances chances now?

With the loss of Levi?

Still good...Astana still has Kloden, Zubeldia, Popovych, Armstrong and Contador

that is true.  But a big blow I think. I mean now its one less guy to really help pull the train up the mountains.

They can do it with 8!

The advantage of having him was that he could chase-down breakaways with contenders and they'd have no choice but to abandon.  Without him there, Alberto and Lance are the only two that can do that.

Kloden... can too.. he is in the top 5... he has been on the podium in the TDF previusly...

NO ONE on the other teams will be letting him get away....he is your third... Levi was the fourth option then Popo and Zubeldia...

Kloden is a serious threat...

CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-18 12:06 AM I can understand why Cav is hanging out the back, but no other sprinters with him??? Is he struggling, mechanical??? If the group gets to the line intact expect to see Thor up front collecting a handful or more points...

Has Martinez had a mech too?

He isnt in the Grupetto?

Looks like he has made it back... time gap is now 0"

Nice attack by Feillu... not too many points behind in KOM

And so young... he could be good potential for the future....

France needs agreat hope!

So does the US. Lance is too old to keep being our only hope.  I think a kid will come-along in about 4 years who was inspired by Lance as a young teen and he'll be close to LA.

Aussies also need a hope because Cuddles is such a wuss.  He really doesn't represent what I view of Australia...

Stuart O'GRady for winning Paris Roubaix did it... but he is too old these days..

Simon Gerrans is it really... he is fantastic, does great in the media...was evastated he didnt get to ride TDF this year!HGis mountain top win last year and in the Giro made the mainstream news!

Mark Renshaw too for all his work with Cav.... but wont get the mainstream recognition he deserves!

GomesBolt - 2009-07-17 9:20 AM Did you do the MCM last year? I was there.

I am doing it this year, mile 3 is about 1/2 mile from my house. I was standing there last year in a bright orange jump suit holding a sign for Comet and the other BT'ers.

I did it last year.  Wasn't planning on doing it again this year, but a friend got hurt and is transferring his bib to me, so I get to do it again.  Still planning on doing Richmond marathon three weeks later, too.

That bridge at 22 miles sucks so bad.  I could feel all the grooves on every step.  I think it was really great that they changed the route to go down around the golf course at mile 13 rather than 18.  Not nice hitting the wall where there are no people.

Threadjack off!
