Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: Team 3 Halloween Run Challenge Hey everyone, this is Tom! Thanks for having me on the team. I'll get my goals onto the spreadsheet this afternoon if my work computer will let me. Here's a little about me: I'm living and working in the San Diego area right now and am looking forward to actually being in town this winter (I'm in the Navy) to enjoy the year round opportunities here. I greq up in Minnesota and went to college at Iowa State (what part of town are you in Neal?) so I know what it's like to be stuck in the gym all winter. I'm still definitely a tri-beginner, mostly because I still don't have a bike. I plan to fix that as soon as possible though, and am hoping to get several events in next year. In the mean time I'm looking to continue building my running base as I get ready for a local half-marathon in January. That will be my longest distance ever, and I'm pretty excited about it. Oh, and FWIW, "Show Us Your Ghoulies" gets my vote because it makes me laugh too. |

Up until now I've been using my hybrid as the excuse for why I'm so slow. Won't have that excuse next season. I like to ride, even though I stink. I just say hi to all the people passing me and enjoy the scenery. |

For that matter, most likely so do I. Hmmm. Will need to sweat that out in the pool tomorrow morning before going to work. Which brings up an interesting question....Do you sweat while swimming? Probably not. |

I love it here because I'm only a half mile away from the county roads that I do all my bike training on. My sister lived in San Diego the last 2 years. It was always nice to come and visit during January when things are brutal here. |
