Subject: RE: 2010 Cranberry threadNeedhamTri - 2010-08-22 3:19 PM Rode the new course yesterday also - it seems very fast, and one of those rides which feels like it has more downhill than uphill, which is always good.
My first time doing Cranberry. My family will be coming down to watch, but will arrive later than me, probably after the swim waves have started. Can anybody comment on the parking situation - will they still be able to park at Ted Williams or does it fill up? Also, if they plan to come see me half-way round the ride, is it easy to get out and then back in to Ted Williams (or not worth trying)? Ok, I am not positive about this, but here I go. Most races fill up the lots rather early. Plus one of the entrances for cars is also the entrance for the racers. This being said, if your family is going to show up after the race starts, they will probably have to park off site and walk in. If I remember, there are a few businesses across the street within a mile of the camp, more likely 1/2 mile, so parking outside and walking in would offer the best chance to remain mobile during the race. Hope this helps. |
