jpbis26 - 2010-07-05 2:00 PM Ok- ran the 5K yesterday and also made the mistake in thinking it was 3.2 miles. So I ran a little extra too. Didn't realize this mistake until I read the thread. Oh, well.

Age group 30-34
Time: 31.32

I was hoping to break 30 mins, getting close, maybe next time

Haha I did the same thing and didn't notice until I just read your post. Oh well I ran a little extra also.

I'm back!

July 5th:  145.6
Aug 1st goal: 141.6

Didn't lose anything last week - not pleased about that as my calories were in check - but at least I didn't gain anything.  So, in 4 weeks, I'm 2-1/2 lbs down.

I know why - I lose weight easiest when I diet hard and don't workout.  Don't know why, it just works that way.  So attempting to cut weight while training is difficult.

Great job to everyone else - keep on truckin'!

Did my 5K yesterday.  AG 40-44.  time-28:03

I got "stroller-ed" a few of times, but felt better when I passed some of them later!

After my eating this weekend, I don't think I'll check in on the weight till Saturday though.

Wow!  I got first in the woman's race!  Didn't know I could do that.  Tongue out  I always thought I had to compete with the men.

I put up an avatar so the mistake won't happen in the future.  (I hope)

First time on this thread.  I would like to join Team Skinny.  My current weight is 155 and my goal is to weigh 150 by the end of July.  With 2 tri's this month, hopefully, I can achieve this.  Poor sleep is getting in the way of my final weeks of training though -- UGG!  Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to Team Skinny. Weigh ins are on Wed (but i will accept yours on Tues). As far as sleep, I have great luck with Melatonin. Melatonin is the chemical that makes you tired naturally and sometimes a bit more may help. It doesn't put you to sleep just kind of helps you along.

Is it too late to join? Did a couple of little triathlons last season (it's midwinter here), but started then working in general practice and the training stopped and I put on a stone in a couple of months. I've just started training for a half marathon in September, and am finding the running pretty tough at this weight... started the week at 146lb which is the highest I've been since losing the weight after baby #3!

Today is Wednesday here and I was 142lb
My goal for the end of July would be 136lb

I'm impressed you learned to use this new fangled computer Granny, not bad for an old broad.

BTW, thanks for the challenge.  I'm glad I have a new time to work from - my first official 5k is under 3 months away now and I really want to have a decent time.  It was great to see that I am getting better.  I figure I should be down another 20 pounds by then so that should help.
