Hey Judi, I have done it in the past and I used to love it, but (and I don't mean this to sound as terrible as it might), since I have been fighting it drives me crazy. Its great for cardio but the technique is not always there and there is nothing quite like actually hitting someone or something! It is a great class though, just not for me anymore... Have you tried pump and zumba yet? I used to do pump from time to time, just don't have time these days, and I have tried zumba for a laugh. Its just like a dance class really, quite fun. Also love balance for a mix of yoga, pilates etc - keeps me more entertained that straight yoga sometimes. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge No, I was just looking at the schedule for the gym that's closer to my house tonight when I was in PT. THey have pretty much the same classes but some of their class schedule times are better than the gym I usually go to. The new location doesn't have a pool but it's a part of the chain that I belong to so I can use either facility. Zumba is on my list to try this month.
I am getting a very nice bonus from work so I think I am keeping the personal trainer for another 3-4 months out of this bonus check. SOOOO, I don't need to do Body Pump if I keep the strength work with Rasoul going. |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Well my 2 dayshifts are down (7am-7pm, ugh, hate them!) and 3 nightshifts coming up (5pm-5am, not too bad) ... dayshifts I struggle through, but nights I usually never have any problems with motivation - always work out on my lunch breaks, and generally stick to a clean diet. Last I checked the snack cupboard was not re-stocked, so the MrNoodles-at-3am-temptation should not be an issue. So far so good on all my goals! And as an aside - as it works out - my boyfriend will be away for the majority of March, so I'll have absolutely no distractions nor anything better to do than check off my goal list. (But I'll miss him terribly, of course;-) How's everyone else doing? |

I'm looking to try a hot yoga class and goodlife offers a paid one... I bet I know the answer - but what are your thoughts? Alternatively I am also considering this place: http://www.5elementsyoga.com/ |

Gym B is a little closer to my house......think I'm heading to that class. |

On the plus side The moisture did wonders for me though. |

Now, off to remove unecessary things from the tri bike that create drag. I wish I could remove some of the fat off my body, as well. That would help reduce drag! |

And I know what you mean about removing the fat. No matter how tricky it is to remove a component from your bike, it's still easier than losing weight. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge No workout yesterday (unless you count 20 pushups). Thursdays are my long day. Long day at work then straight to a basketball thing I am in charge of. Didn't get to bed until 1am. I need to check to see if I have the authority to kick someone out of the competition. We have a couple of guys that don't know how to keep their tempers under control. It's not fair to the volunteers and we can't afford to lose any. Tonight my wife and I are hitting the gym. I can't decide between a swim or treadmill workout. I'm leaning toward a swim since its been quite a while. Still have to come up with my goals for the month. I need to get on the ball. I have a big race coming up in June and if I don't get going soon, I definitely won't be ready. |

I'm at 219 now so goal is 215 lb.. by end of month. 2)Change program to swim focus by adding another swim per week and focus on speed drills. 3) Break 2 min/100m average for sustained swim workouts. 4. Pipe dream) increase run intensity. last run of month will be 10k with a goal of 6.3 mph average pace. Thanks, Jeff Edited by harlequinduck 2011-03-04 7:39 PM |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Freak out moment!!!! I take meticulous care of my tri bike. This afternoon, I noticed a piece of metal stuck in the back tire! Arrrraaahhh!!!! Bad timing!!!! I took my bike down to the bike shop in hopes that they would have a good 650 tire. I knew my chances of finding that tire would be slim to none in my rural, 700, loving part of the state. Anyway, the guy that does most of the work on my bike said that he would take a chance and run my tires, as is, in the race rather than put crappy, slow tires on the bike. He then proceeded to tell me that if I flat, there will be plenty of people behind me to tell someone to pick me up. Thanks, man. He also told me I better get some new tires ordered after the race. Does anyone have any luck with a particular tire? What do you like? It's tire poll time, my friends! BTW....I'm shooting for the women's course record. It's quite do-able if the weather cooperates. |
