Two 32 inch and maybe one 42 inch for the main living room? I have no idea, what is the difference between LCD and LED. I want to be in the right decade and up to speed with techology. Disclaimer: I watched the same channel for 8 month after my ex moved out, cause the remotes were too confusing and I don't want to impress men when they come over either. I want them to love me not my TV.
I bought a Samsung LED Smart TV (46" UN46ES8000) recently. I picked the fastest speed (240 Hz). I am happy with it. It is at the lake house and we have not been able to spend much time there recently so I don't have much experience using all the feature. I bought this model because it has the best picture. However, because it is their high end model, it also comes with a lot of gee whiz features. For example, it hooks directly to the Internet for downloading movies and surfing the internet. One of the supposedly cool things it does is to respond to hand signals to change the channel or volume. I thought that sounded ridiculous so I haven't set that feature up. The TV came with three different remotes. Overkill? Most of the Panasonic, Sony, and Samsung models have great pictures and decent reputations for reliability. Pick the one you like in the store. If you have a home theater sound system, it may be complicated to hook up. It doesn't require a PhD in mechanical engineering to hook them up but it helps. If you get a high end TV, it will probabaly come with more features than you will actually use. I am probably going to buy a 32" for the condo in Atlanta. We don't have a TV there now. I expect I will get a Samsung so it operates the same way as the one at the lake. Wow this is TMI. Sorry. Short version. I like the picture of my Samsung LED but the controls are complicated. Smart tv is OUt :-) |

I think you are going to have to give more details but sure depending how much time you spend with the person...it makes sense. He is in my direct area, 2 doors down, I interact with him multiple times a day, attend events with him, etc.
1 - I have no memory of life before wife. I don't recognize sexiness in women since I have been married. 2 - I met my wife at work. On a technicality, we worked for different agencies (school district - mental health clinic).
Co-worker were actually upset that 1/2 of them had no clue that we were dating when they got the wedding invites... excuse our professionalism at work. Not-at-work... that would be TAN fodder...
Almost, but that reminds me of the time I used to work for an ambulance company near Boston. Some of the psych hospitals tried to be more casual, so workers did not wear the typical hospital gear. The only way I could tell the difference... the only difference... between some of the patients and employees was to look for keys on the waist. |

Master 2477 Oceanside, California | Subject: RE: TAN #182: Summer's fading, break out the TANkinis for the last time! After about 5 years, I had some work on my Samsung (Old school DLP... don't get). Repair guy said to stay away from Sony. He claimed they were Samsung guts with a Sony exterior and price tag. Internet flames Samsung pretty hard, but he liked them. Guy is repair only, he only sells used TVs that he refurbished of all brands... so I trust the credibility.

I also say Costco as they have a free extended warranty and 90 day return policy. You do need to be careful about the exact specs and features at Costco but if they have what you want I thinks its a good way to go. |

Champion 16151 Checkin' out the podium girls | Subject: RE: TAN #182: Summer's fading, break out the TANkinis for the last time! DON'T buy at Wal-Mart! They have specific models built for their stores only and the manufactures are squeezed on margin, so they cut corners in components. A Samsung from wal-Mart isn't identical to a Samsung at Best Buy. You'll often not find the exact same model numbers. I just bought a 32" Sony for the bedroom and a 28" Toshiba for our daughter's LCD and LED respectively. I notice no difference, except the LED is thinner and makes for a cleaner wall mount. I have a 50" DLP Samsung in the man cave which is 4yo and still awesome. |
