Subject: RE: Ironman 70.3 St. George : Official Threadyeah, just bring your own bottles filled with whatever you want on race morn. A few race area/ day heads up... 1. Deflate your tires before race day when you are in the area. Then air up race morn or the day before. Keep them slightly deflated for the race. Slightly! like if you normally do 120, fill to 110 or 115. I was there last year and the year before. Watched 4 tires blow just sitting in the back of a truck when the owners were swimming a few days before the race. Its hot ( maybe some altitude). 2. Chip seal all over the course 3. It will be windy! Just depends how much and when it starts. 4. Its prob going to be hot! If it is hot, combined with the wind it will get really dry. Half piece of gum and chap stick goes a long way. |
