I don't hear anything from him though that makes me think either of these guys could even pretend to fix our country. Josh my friend, play rewind. Mitt wasn't my first choice but he's all I have and I do believe he is the JOBS man, way, way, way, better than B.O. All I know for sure, is B.O. s*cks and Mitt can only go up from there. (Gee, it's so hard to pull an opinion out of me lol!)
Deirdre, they both suck. Romney is complaining about trillion dollar deficits under Obama, but he will continue them because there is no way they will cut spending enough for there not to be. We can all pretend these guys will do what they say, but money talks. These guys are raising a billion dollars for their campaign. The people giving them the money are the ones calling the shots and they certainly aren't going to beg either of them to cut spending or remove tax loopholes. You and my husband are in the same camp, doesn't trust either of them. Really doesn't matter who it is, I know it's all big $ but I have to go with the guy that at least represents the values and goals I'm looking for. I just feel more optimistic with Mitt b/c he's been out there, governed, created jobs, he actually has experience with what I feel this country needs. For me there's no other choice, I will vote and it's a clear choice even with all the big money cr*p that goes along with the office. I think that's the big joke on the American people. There is no choice. They both talk like they think there is but there's not. Would you like to see my chart I made showing how great the RYan budget will fix the deficit? Assumptions: 15 Trillion GDP to start, 16 Trillion debt, constant 3.0% GDP growth every year, no exceptions I plugged in the numbers of Ryan's road map to prosperity Table A-II-1 to see how it would project. All numbers are in trillions.
ETA: Debt/GDP %column
That's all I need to see to know there is no difference.
Your a busy boy! Ok, I get your skepticism, so what r you saying, just throw in the towel? or do you prefer the status quo, I'm confused? I think the status quo s*cks and it's time for a change. I'm really trying to think optimistically but you and Roy are dragging me down maaaan! |

I'm really trying to think optimistically but you and Roy are dragging me down maaaan! Excel is a wonderful thing. My point is both Romney and Obama ARE the status quo. I'm voting Gary Johnson. It won't make a difference, but he actually has a platform that I can stand behind. I am positive that come 2016 regardless of who wins the national debt will be over $20 trillion and we will be in no better shape than we are in now. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() GomesBolt - 2012-10-03 8:46 PM Problem with using the Ryan Plan is that it was a starting point for discussions. It was a Strawman. But instead of negotiating it, Democrats and Obama in particular called Ryan to a meeting to ambush him and called him Jack Ryan. The Ryan Plan isn't THE plan, it's a starting point for discussions. That is my point. The Ryan plan is considered the super way out there extreme plan for deficit cutting. Look at my chart. The national debt will grow to 68 trillion before it begins to come down. Also you can see that starting in 2012 it is already severely underestimating the deficit. This doesn't even include the absurdity of saying you can balance the debt in 60 years. Thus, my point that we are being suckered into thinking that either of these guys will do anything. |

Just today or yesterday he was lambasting how the economy has been so low for the last 4 years (sorry don't have the quote, but it was to that affect) He's the gift that keeps on giving! |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() GomesBolt - 2012-10-03 10:51 PMa Sharpton, Schultz, Chris Hayes, they're all flipping out! Meltdown..... and if you really want to see the true colors of a network, watch them during a polarizing moment. It's laughable that so many people think Fox News is no different than say, MSNBC. The cast at MSNBC is so much more one-sided it's ridiculous. The obvious reply will be "Well, you're a conservative, what do you think you''re going to say". I say what I've said the whole time.... watch both and honestly evaluate the bias/neutrality. |

The 1st step would be to remove everyone in DC. Personally I think we either continue to muddle through for a few decades or some big event either awakens the country and gets the ship righted (doubtful) or the whole world goes into another depression. I don't think there is any other way for everything that's gone down to unfold. |
