I took a nap instead of running. It was raining and there was lightning and the power went out so the treadmill didn't work. (We won't mention that 5 minutes after I put my head down, the power came back on).

Hi !  Hope everyone is having a good day.

Coffee with friends this morning, then work for a while.  A strength session, then home for lunch.  I will have to go back to work again later this afternoon.  At least I got a workout in.

I am willing to give it a shot!

There are severe thunderstorm and tornado watches so tonight's soccer game has been postponed. The other coach and I really wanted to play, but there is absolutely no shelter if bad weather would move in. We thought it would be better to err on the side of caution.

Not having soccer gave me a little free time to get yogafied before we go to the kids award ceremony tonight. WOOT!

Good morning Ghoulies!

What a night we had. My husband and I have been up since 2:00 with kids because of high winds. Around 3:30 we started getting HAMMERED by thunderstorms. We had a tornado warning in our area. We have flooding everywhere. I drove through way more water than I was comfortable with to get to work. Lots of lightning, lots of winds, heavy rain, hail, nasty stuff out there.

We had the same night. Except I was up with a giant GS on the bed scared with the lightening and thunder. Then the tornado sirens went on. Fortunately it stopped about an hour later and just rained and I slept like a baby.

You stay safe!! It is scary to have to drive in that stuff!

Milo was in his crate, and he wasn't wimpering so I left him there. Wynn was in the hallway between the kids bedroom doors. I hope storms like this aren't any indication of the storms we are going to get all summer.

Afternoon, and just rain are acceptable. Severe storms in the middle of the night are a little less acceptable.

I wasn't worried during the worst part of the storm, it was when I knew we had the tornado warning and the wind stopped that I worried.

There is no way to have your heart not skip a beat when that happens. Makes for a long night!

We need to put our respectful request in to Ma Nature to please skip the tornadoes, lightning strikes, high winds and hail. Thank you Ma'am. 

Dear Mother Nature,

Hi. I would like to apologize on behalf of the population of Earth for all of the destruction we have done to our planet. We will do a better job of recycling, finding alternative energy, reducing dangerous emissions, using harmful chemicals, and all that other bad stuff. As a race, sometimes we can be stupid.

Please accept our apology, and if possible we'd really appreciate it if you could ease up on the earthquakes, tsunami's, tornadoes, and severe thunderstorms.

There is currently a tornado warning for just east of here. It expires in 15 more minutes.

Glad you sent that letter! Keep your head down. It is clearing up here. Now there is blue sky and a light breeze. It changed from stormy and rainy and scary to this in less than an hour.

I am rushing the blue sky your way.

My son was supposed to go on a field trip to Gettysburg today. I'm not sure if they went or not, they were going to be outside walking around part of the battle field.

I hope they stayed in. I wouldn't want my kid travelling or out in that kind of weather and I sure would hate to be in charge of a bunch of kids in scary weather.

Morning. Still sick...blahhhhh...

I'm still planning on running and doing my du this weekend. Need to get a good build phase in before my week of exams at the end of May...

Planning on going back to IA the first weekend of June.
