I went to Valdez with a friend, and took a glacier viewing/whale watching boat tour.... SO cool, saw all sorts of great animals and landscapes.

Then we did some driving today, wound up doing the Denali Highway (a rural dirt road through interior AK). More incredible scenery.

And for tomorrow, we've got tickets on a bus ride through some of Denali National Park.... at 6 a.m.

OOOooooffffff. That's early. But we're hoping the animals will be out and about that time, when none of the other buses or tours have driven through there yet.

Haven't forgotten about the running though. Nothing is logged yet, but I've gotten a few runs in, and I'm keeping track. I'll get them in when I get back.

Nice job guys.  My favorite vacation was Kenya.  Costa Rica was cool too.  Breakfast--Cheerios most day.  Easy breakfast post run (but rare) is McMuffin.   Favorite:   Eggs Benedict.

I broke the 50% mark...

lkc01234 - 2009-06-13 11:59 PM In the US - there are SOOO many places still I wanna see!  I've yet to go to Vegas... :-(  Which i've heard...everyone needs to go once.. :-D  I also REALLY want to go to Alaska..right around this time of year, when the days are really long... I've never been to Hawaii either - def want to go!

Outside US -
Greece :-(Yes Victoria, I'm jealous!!)
Italy (again - went to Rome in HS..)
Australia & New Zealand (both are too close to each other not to go...)
Carribeans

And I'm sure TONS of other places... I actually just took a trip to Ireland in March.  (No I don't have family there) That was FANTASTIC!! There is SOO much to see and do.  It's beautiful there!  And Ireland has a LOT of interesting history.  I gave my grandpa a book for his birthday (early May) and he was very impressed and suprised how Ireland basically evolved, but kind of seperately from Rome and Greece area...I definitely want to go back and definitely recommend!

Long TOPPAGE travel post...

Hey, you are more than welcome to come and visit, when you come to Greece!
I really want to go to Irland too, and explore it with on my bike. I've been living for almost 2 years in scotland [Edinburhg] and loved it as well. Such a beautiful country.

Why is it Bugs?  That I got up at 6 am (a bit before my alarm) on Saturday/Race Day and 5:30 am yesterday morning to go watch a Tri...but come Monday morning I snooze for about 30 minutes and don't rise until 6 am?!?

Does anyone actually get excited to go to work in the morning?? If so, what do you do??
