deehtz - 2010-03-11 10:56 AM It is really windy here today and raining.  I am supposed to run but the weather discouraged me from getting out soon enough, and now I could only get in a couple of miles.  Not really worth it for the hurry of dressing, running, showering, and dashing away to work.

Today and tomorrow are really long days at work with no breaks, so I need to make sure I save some energy for work.  Smile

On the flip side, this weekend we actually get to stay home.  So I can plan a long run and a bike ride!

Can I come to your house? It is supposed to be near 60 this weekend but heavy rains Saturday and Sunday. I need to get a 9ish mile run in on Sunday and I really don't want to do it on a treadmill.

Yes but Ann(e) i have to do about 100 miles on the bike this weekend in that carpy rain!!!!  Not looking forward to that at all!!!

Well then might I suggest we ALL go to Dee's house this weekend.  Hasn't been a Ghoulie party for a week or two.

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-11 10:55 AM I saw a bear in Jim Thorpe, PA.  I was mountain biking alone and went off on a single track and was cruising along and hear this loud rustling and crashing.  I stop and look off to my left and there is a bear hightailing it out of my sight.  Good thing it was more afraid of me that I was of it because I was doing what the bear in the first picture of Kim's was doing!! - lol

I had a 100m - 400m telephoto for those shots.  If I am ever close enough to a bear to hear the rustling I'll be leaving a deposit in the bike shorts.

Great! And you're the one I'm going to Jim Thorpe with.

*Reminder to self, bring wet wipes along.

1) Why do you assume that I am faster

2) I just want to ride the course not race it when we go. Just in case there is a turn at the bottom of a hill I'd like to be prepared. Broken bones suck! Trust me, I've had lots of experience with this one.

I think by now the wine is just a given

Dee do you have a grill. I can grill us up some chicken and steaks. Someone else will have to take care of the veggies, at least you will if you want them to be edible.

I assume everyone is faster than me.  Cool  I actually don't like riding much faster than 25mph not that I get there very often.  I have one section of my usual route that you can really hammer, but I start to get nervous above 22-23 mph.  Asphalt is rough, NJ's famous potholes and traffic all make me a bit cautions.  As for broken bones... Been there. Done that. No need for a repeat.

Ok gang, gotta run for a bit.  Back later.

Hey Ghoulies. Sounds like everyone's having a nice day and I'm very glad to hear that.

Ann - I'm glad to hear that the brass sees what's going on over there. I'm thinking that this lady who's giving you grief will eventually find out exactly how much of a B kharma can be.

Melindy - Yay, no more Eeyore! Have fun in your review.

Bill - That race looks certifiable, but awesome at the same time. I actually watched "The Proposal" with my lady the other day and decided that I would like to do a race of some kind in Alaska someday. I'm with Kim though - June or July please...

Kim - I'm very sorry to hear about your friend's passing. She sounds like a very special woman, and my thoughts are with you, her, and all of her friends and family.

Dee - I'm very there for your party. I'll grab some pasta for anyone feeling like carbo-loading and I'll help with the veggies too. I'll bring my steamer.

Kendra and Katie - I love seeing you ladies pop in, even if it's only just briefly. Keep us posted, you crazy kids.

Stacie - Sorry to hear your running legs aren't cooperating lately, but they'll come back. I'm willing to bet you'll discover them about a mile into your next road run. Care to prove me right?

Amy - That's SWEET you're getting your bike built up. Make sure you post some pics of you riding the black beast soon!

Neal - I'm starting to think you need to find something with which to blackmail your IT department. Maybe remind them that they're supposed to be taking care of their tools (computers), not being tools.

Robin - Did you say PH 13 mud/water? That's insane. Stay dry out there and if your lazy contractor gives you any grief, push him into the mud, face first.

Jules - You're missed. If you're lurking just know we're thinking about ya. Take care up there.

If I missed anyone I'm sorry. I've been having a rough day or two down here and am currently at home waiting to take care of some urgent appointments. I don't want to elaborate too much at the moment, but if you could all please keep my wife in your thoughts I'd be greatly appreciative. She's having a hard time with her upcoming surgery and all the family drama going on right now and I'm just doing my best to help her keep it together. You all are a HUGE help for me and my efforts to keep myself together, and I thank you most sincerely.
