I'm going to Lake Tobias with the first graders. It's a zoo sort of trip. We get to ride in a bus with the top cut off and the animals walk right up to you, because you have food to feed them. There are some parts to walk around and see, too, and a petting zoo. My husband is going somewhere with her this week, but I forget where they are going. On Friday my sons class is going to go walk around in a creek and collect samples of I have no idea what. My husband is going to that one. He has another field trip next week but his teacher asked that we let other parents volunteer so I don't get to go.  I am going to go to the fourth grade picnic on the last day of school. They do a huge picnic every year for the fourth graders. There is tons of food, rides, games, and such. I took the day off to go to that. My baby will be in middle school next year. |

Creek sampling is fun. I used to teach that to kids. LOTS of icky slimy things to make the boys go NEAT and the girls scream. My favorite is when it is vice versa! Baby in middle school, wow. Time does fly. Next thing they'll be like my kids- out the door (except for when they need something). |
