At the expo, I got to meet Hal Higdon!  He was really cool and signed one of my course maps.

Sup, Matt.

So I am finding out that my company apparently blocks a couple of the better known job search sites on our work network. Today just got a little more interesting.

Hey Pete, do you have an iPad or tablet?  this would be a decent work around for the blocked sites.

Hmmmm, I just looked, and there doesn't seem to be a wireless network here. No dice. Darn.

Monster, Career Builder, Dice, Indeed, Simply Hired?

All blocked. I guess I have to go to company-specific websites to try to see what is available.

If they have site blockers they may be able to pull visited sites as well.

I was ahem kind of thinking that. However, most of the time they don't look at employees' browsing history unless there's a reason too. Too much time and bother to be on top of it all the time ...

Monday Morning updates???

- Corporate Christmas parties are REALLY boring. But Latin Night at the bar is exciting! Danced like a rock star and drank way too much - don't need to detail that one for you.
-  Do ya'll remember the French guys I met last Halloween? Well the one I hung out with that night is back for 18 months, and we texted last night; plans for drinks this week. Ooh LALA I love me some French boys! Good timing.
- I ran 20.5 miles yesterday! Longest training run for me. Stoked about it!

How YOU doing?

Weekend for me... fly home, got a little overly imbibed on Friday. Slept all day Saturday, and had a family Christmas party where I was trying to avoid questions about my gf and job at all costs. But that went better than expected!

Haha, yea, don't worry, Quebecker French is NOT French. It's actually a horribly ugly language. A bastardization, if you will.

I was avoiding questions because my family can be quite gossipy (not in a terrible way, just in a prying way). It's too early to really be asking all of the questions that she would ask (and did, but it was nice and early, so it wasn't too bad).
