My office is right on the course, but I'm going to walk a couple of blocks over to L street near the finish stand and watch from there. That's so cool. I'm jealous. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XIV zipp1 - 2008-02-19 10:29 AM Artemis - 2008-02-19 8:51 AM My niece is a brainless twit. She doesn't know chiffon from taffeta, doesn't have a shoe preference...is leaving most of the planning to her mother (another brainless twit). I just want them to physically LOOK at the website pictures I sent last night and help the girls narrow their selections to be sure the style is somewhat cohesive. For someone who went to photography school she isn't paying attention to the details that will be in her pictures for the rest of eternity. I did get her to specify white for any bows or contrast and it would be okay if my younger one is in a shorter dress as junior bridesmaid (but I'm not sure they can get this dress in her size because it was in kids sizes and she's a junior 0). I called my mother this morning and announced that the bride and mother of the bride don't have a brain cell to spare between them!Morning Nibbs! Missed last night, so here are my thoughts: *Cornflower blue could be ok. The problem is that bridesmaid's dresses are expensive. My mom actually volunteered to make all of the bridesmaids dresses for my wedding and I think they only had to pay $50 for fabric. They were cute and dark purple, but even better because they were cheap. Do the girls need a certain pair of shoes too? *I only have like 750 challenge me posts. It's rapidly increasing though. Seriously, she's crazy. Actually, she and her mother are crazy. I'm sorry you have to deal with all of this. |

Crazy day at work today for we were closed for a staff day yesterday so we came back to a mountain of books, and the weekend crew seemed to not get any shelving done. Whats that all about. Scott, have fun watching the race. Judi, good luck with the dresses. (That's as far as I read back at this point.) |

All I can say is some people shouldn't be allowed to procreate-- my sister and her husband have a shallow gene pool. My niece's fiancee has an even shallower one, if they procreate it will be a mud puddle. (oh, that thought makes me physically ill). My husband is trying to get out of going and dumping the whole thing on me (he IS joking, but I know how he feels)zipp1 - 2008-02-19 10:29 AM Artemis - 2008-02-19 8:51 AM My niece is a brainless twit. I think if possible either right before the wedding or right after you should treat yourself to a day at a spa. It sounds as if you will really need it. |

I called my mother this morning and announced that the bride and mother of the bride don't have a brain cell to spare between them! OK, so if she doesn't know chiffon from taffeta, doesn't care about the shoes or the planning, and is registering only at Walmart.... Then why do the girls needs expensive bridesmaid dresses at all? Why not just get them some nice party dresses (in cornflower blue, since that's her only requirement)? You could go with childrens' dresses - which would solve the size problem. And since they'd be outfits that you could buy commercially, everyone could get their kids the same sort of style. It would save you money. It would save you time. It would save you a headache, and take away the need for a recovery MONTH at the spa. (Although you may still opt to have that one!) 'Cause, (and I might be wrong, but this is how I'm interpreting it,) if the bride doesn't care, and the groom doesn't care.... then why are you driving yourself batty over someone else's wedding? Or, am I missing something here? (Which could be, due to "werk" causing my remaining brain cells to fry.) Edited by D001 2008-02-19 5:47 PM |
