Did you have a great vacation?Terrific! Even though it was above 90 and heat index in the high 90's and topping around 105 degrees or so, being by the Atlantic was great!! Thanks for asking! Lotsa fun with taking in a last-minute baseball game on the first Sat. in Atlanta, catching the Georgia Aquarium (HIGHLY recommended), strolling through Olympic Park and having Da' Boyz jump around in the water spouts, and enjoying the ocean! #2 son got "stung" by a jellyfish on the arm, and we learned something new with a little "frontier" local medicine - rub some wet sand on the "sting" for a few minutes, then go to the lifeguard and have them spritz a little seawater and ammonia (?) mix. Wifey drove the 17-1/2 hours back. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED - driving through Illinois. MUNDANE. LAME. BOOOOOOOORRRRRRING! |

Ride in with Sugar Daddy, drop off Monkeys, and go see financial planner. (Market sucks, we're losing money, no surprises.) Decide to spend money (since we're losing it anyway) at Target...you'd think it was my first anniversary with all the paper products I bought. Stock up on toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, kleenex. But I forgot coffee filters, which we desperately need or I will be uber-crabby tomorrow morning. I also got new makeup...I figure I haven't worn mine all summer, I must need more. Went to Ann Taylor Loft and spent a gift card I got for my b-day in June...yes, I just let it sit on the counter for 2 months...but I picked a good time to go because it's bonus buck back time. Got some cute work pants on sale. WHOO WHOO and a pair of jeans because all of mine are fat-sized. And ALL on sale! 2 pairs of work pants (khaki-type), 1 pair of jeans, and a skirt...for only $9 out of pocket! (I love that my in-laws can never think of what to buy me!) Went to Claires since I was at the mall. I've been admiring some women's jewelry (like bracelets and chunky necklaces), but I can't imagine I'll actually go through with putting it on everyday, so I figured I shouldn't spend a bunch of money on it. Gonna eat lunch and go workout (can't figure out what I want to do...meh. Probably ride, but I hear flats come in threes and I don't feel like getting a flat today - yeah, I'm mental.) |
