Besides tonight I almost lost it with one congregation member who came in for a special "presentation" with council.... grrr.... she didn't even really ask us to DO anything... at least specifics-wise... And I was a little grumpy from my hard run earlier today... THAT my friends could have been a disaster, had I blown my stack. But I did not. -B That's the secret. You let the idiot(s) run the meeting until its obvious to everyone else the person is an idiot and they quit listening, and generally, the person(s) is never a problem again. I am the King of Meeting Facilitators. One of the things I don't like about my current job, I don't get out in the field as much as I did when I was in Virginia in the middle 90s. You can't get the feel for an organization reading their documents, you've got to see their process in action. Actually the president of council does a very good job... she too was frustrated. The council is actually a good group of folks.. They do good work... for the most part. -B |

He's been trying to weasel out of returning most of it as agreed, so the papers are going to be filed. It should have been back to me - $150 worth - by August 21st, and its, um, October 8th? He's self-employed and pleading poverty, bad economy, but the deposit should have been put in a bank acct. and not TOUCHED. as an fyi.. you can request damages in most states if the landlord illegally keeps the deposit.. most states its up to x3 the amount |
