Does anybody know exactly how the bike aid station hand-ups work? I'm wondering if the Ironman Perform drink is going to be in pre-packaged manufacturer's bottles or in "normal" bike bottles (I've been to races done both ways, although it's usually the former). If it's in the manufacturer's bottles, does anyone know how tall they are? My frame is teenytiny and has only one cage on the seat tube and it won't fit a lot of the taller bottles... it would be nice to know in advance so I don't throw my own bottle away first, only to have no replacement!

At the Racine 70.3, they had the regular 20 oz Perform bottles, but with a twist open and squeeze lid put on it.  It fill well in my cage.  For what it's worth, probably 75% of what I saw handed out was the orange/mango flavor, some lemon/lime, and almost no berry flavor.

Perfect, thanks! I think 20 oz is the standard bike bottle size, right? but I will probably go ahead and stop and the first aid station just to make sure it fits - otherwise I can just stop and refill my own bottle when needed.

Good to know about the flavors. I ordered the powder (only available in lemon lime so far), and actually liked the taste, so I've been training with that. Usually I can't stand lemon lime. I hope the orange/mango is good, if that's mostly what they'll have!

Linda, I'd recommend buying a bottle of the other two flavors at the expo and trying them out so you know which one you want to be reaching for.  I think the orange/mango is a nasty flavor and way to salty, but the berry is pretty good.  Plus, that'll give you a chance to see how the bottle fits with your cage before you check your bike.

I'm guessing Minnesota, but that's a hell of a commute.

No one set up... hopefully someone will pick up the ball on Sunday! And really it can be multiple people since that document is public and anyone can edit it. I don't really feel right asking someone to do it though...

Great spreadsheet of athletes. I plan on sitting in front of the pc all day as I can't be in Madison on Sunday, so I have volunteered myself to try and keep the spreadsheet updated for everyone!

Good luck to all the racers. While I cannot be there in person to cheer you on, I will be thinking about everyone as I watch the feed on IM Live.

My co-worker just popped in and gave me a 'good luck' talk... she asked "So how long does it take to bike 112 miles? Two... three hours?"
