Hahahahaha, have fun, man. I've done one organized class before, and it's not bad. Just make sure they know you're a newbie! My gf is a yoga instructor (mostly for kids) and an avid participant in all forms of yoga. She has been trying to get me to go. I told her once I can touch my toes... maybe.

I went with wife a few years ago to a class.  It was fine until about 36-48 hours later, then it hurt  A LOT.  Since then I have tried to do some now and then.  Its a good thing.  Have fun and don't forget to laugh at  yourself as you tip over once or twice.

I think you'll enjoy it. It's tricky at first, all the positions. I did yoga regularly a few years ago, and found it to be strengthening, but also relaxing. Have fun!!



I am traumatized by a bad yoga experience. We were holding our knees rocking on our spine and I broke wind rather loudly. Hilarity was supressed making it even harder not to laugh. Needless to say, the chi was broken. Anti-namaste if you will. The instructor hasn't spoken to me since....

I am enjoying this for now. I do need to get crackin and send resumes. My goal today, is to send out five. Weekly goal, 15 per week. I also have a few prospects that were interested in me, while I was employed...so gonna hit them up.

Ooh yoga. Love. Dammmm those poses where you're supposed to keep your hips closed/straight forward. Mine no-likey. Torture on my IT bands - but awesome at the same time.

I highly recommend a beginner or "101" yoga class if you've never been. They go through the history of yoga, what the purpose of each pose is, how to correctly do it, etc. That way you won't be sore 2 or 3 days later - not doing something right there! Only take your body as far as it can go - in the CORRECT pose. Otherwise you'll hurt yourself!
