HOME!!!

Got in yesterday, got the hair "fixed" and drove straight to the wine dinner. Our friends from Asheville were there and we laughed so hard our stomachs hurt! Today is the start of the CHARGE for getting stuff done. We have our Memorial Day 3 day party and the next weekend we have a bunch of people staying here for my Cousin's sons wedding. We are planning on getting a mountain bike ride in this afternoon before the rains come in for the rest of the week.

Ann, it sounds like you have a jam packed day ahead of you. Better they shop today, rather than tomorrow.... or Monday!

sounds like you are going to be pretty busy for a while. I need to try and figure out when I can get back up to Asheville again. It will have to include a trip to Lake Lure.

Definitely you must come by.

So, I got all the painting done yesterday. Hubby is doing the touch up and clean up today (taking all the tape down and touching up where I bled the paint through the tape). It looks awesome. Now to figure out when I am going to paint the living room which will be much harder since there is a lot of furniture to move around in there, and three are big pieces.

Funny how once you start painting one area, the rest of the house starts to look really shabby and you need to paint there. The wallpaper in my kitchen is 23 years old, but I just don't have the ambition to take it down and paint, or even prime over it and paint, since there are a couple of spots that are peeling a bit. Guess I really should take a good look at it, but then again if I do the walls, I'll want to do the floor.

A house is never finished. It's always a work in progress.

Good for you for getting it done. I know the feeling. One room painted, inevitably means that other rooms start to look "needy".

I think that is a safe bet. You are getting what we had/have here. Yesterday was a continuous light rain that turned into continuous heavy rain after midnight. I sure wish I had gotten all my plants in the ground this weekend.

We went out and bought some plants for around the house on Saturday evening, they planted them when we got home. I'm glad they didn't wait.

It's not raining her right now, but the sky looks like it could open up any minute. Emory University is having their graduations today and they are all scheduled for outside. Hubby who now works on the campus gets to telecommute today so that all the parents can have the parking spaces. Very smart of the campus & hospital. Any employee who does not have to be onsite today is teleworking.

I had a nice mother's day. Worked all day, received a voice mail and text from my daughter (her birthday is today) and from my son I received a potted Calla Lily and Tiger Lily which he said he would plant in my garden for me. Hubby made dinner for me and today he is coming to take me out to lunch.

Take care of your back! Do you have any access to an inversion table? That may help you. Also, when you can, strengthen your core, strengthen your core, strengthen your core!

I am sorry about your back. Bulging discs hurt. Ann is right, core and back strengthening exercises (MILD ones) are good.

Hi.

I had a job interview this afternoon. I think it went pretty well. I got 2 emails this afternoon, one asking me to fill out a bunch of info so they can continue with the hiring process, the other is for my security clearance.

I'm not sure I am going to take it yet, they will have to make me an offer I can't refuse. It is just very difficult for me to work 4' from someone who 6 months ago was my best friend, now she barely acknowledges my existence.

I'm working fom home today. My son was sick when he got home from school yesterday. He spent the entire evening curled up in a ball on a recliner. He has a fever, and he says his head hurts and he feels dizzy. He had a bit of a congested sounding cough last night, too. I'm most likely keeping him home today.
