Well, you just keep thinking about it.  Or don't think about it? Sometimes NOT trying to remember what you're trying to remember works.

In the meantime, I need to hobble over to the store to pick up some veggies and such for lunch.  No need to panic, I'm not going to actually attempt to cook anything, I now know better.

OK...

help me with my pumpkin addiction...

If it had anything to do with pumpking at Trader Joes, I bought it.  Pumpkin bread, beer, coffee, chai latte....

So far, 3 different kinds of pumpking spice coffee - fail, fail, and fail.

The pumpkin bread "kit" sucked.  I should just make it from scratch, no kit.

The homemade latte was too sweet and not as good as getting one from a good coffee shop.

OK.  I did have the thought we could swim together in AZ.  We could leave the little guy behind and let him catch up on the bike.

I have decided to leave the TT bike home.  The thought of 6 hrs on that makes my stomach turn.  But 6 hrs on the road bike sounds like FUN.  So even it's a tad slower, the "joy" factor and comfort trumps...

I sure hope I run into you guys out there.

We need to recruit TJ or others to hold onto post race clothes for us.

Put them in your  morning bag.  they will be waiting for you after the race when you go and pick up your junk.  I shant carry them around all day.  Spectating is hard enough without having to cart stuff around.

Well, here's the deal...  Of COURSE I wouldn't want you to hold onto it.  But I don't like putting car keys in the bags...

Also.  I have found that it's cold enough (or I'm going into post race shock?)  That I need full sweats to get into and a pretty heavy jacket.  I have always been freezing before and after an IM, even with the snazzy space/tin foil blanket they give me.  The sweats fit easily enough, but not my heavier jacket.

I was just hoping some could "fetch" a warmer jacket from my car or something.  And trust they won't joy ride with my car keys?????

Maybe I should reconsider my jacket selection when it's a bit closer.  But boy, I love my 2/4 length swimmers jacket - snuggly.

stock up on canned pumpkin while it is out there and on sale.

add it to everything...spaghetti sauce?  sure.  baked in brownie mix?  done.  punkin-corn muffins?  delish.  extra punkin to the dogs, stirred in coffee, replace the butter in recipes.

you think YOU are a punkin addict?  you have obviously never bought 12 cans of punkin puree at once.

Well, if they set it up like they did the last 2 years, yes, transition in next to the finish.

I'm a big guy, so I got big clothes that take too much space.  My big stuff fills things up easily/quickly.

no, I have never bought 12...  But I did buy 6 of the big cans.  Like 32 oz.  I wanted pumpkin bread during the summer and all they had was pre made pumpkin pie filling (with all the sugar and spices).  No plain pumpkin.  So when it came out, I got half a dozen cans.

Also, do you have the problem that most recipes call for too much pumpkin for a small can, or not enough for a big can?  I end up freezing the spare and after too batches, have enough in the freezer for a third.

So far, I don't really notice a problem using frozen.

that sucks.  My biggest fear is getting sick in the next 3 weeks.  washing hands, avoiding coughing/sneezing people, and anti bacterial hand stuff for me.

Been avoiding public places the best I can as well.

It would be better if she wears one that way the "germs" are not deposited on things like counters and doorknobs.   I would stand back when you make the request though, just as a precaution.
