Have you seen the flexible February challenge thread?  I am going to do that.  My flexibility isn't bad, but could be better.  Especially stretching the legs and low back since I am running more often.

I also noticed the plank a day challenge.  I am not doing that, but I was looking at plank info and saw a "modified plank" -- basically a plank but knees stay on the ground.  Tuck butt and tighten core to hold position.  I have been doing two of them every other day for about 40 seconds each.  May not sound like much but is sure being felt!  I have slowly worked up from 30 seconds to 45 seconds so I am seeing improvement!

It is so nice when I am enjoying the workout process again!  It has been a long time coming back!

Welcome back, Dee! I, too am slowly enjoying building back up. I am really excited about my tri this summer. Hope it doesn't wear off!

I'll have to look into that challenge. I am doing a 10 week core challenge on facebook. I didn't do any while I was away but I was doing good until then (and I am picking up where I left off as of today).

I did go for lunch and got my favorite wings. I'm glad I did. While I was sitting in there waiting for my food it started to snow. They dismissed my kiddos from school 1:15 early too, which is an odd early dismissal, it's usually 2 hours or something.

I think tonight will just be pizza, cake, and a movie on the screen downstairs. Not sure what I want to watch yet. Hmm...

I don't think we are going to make it down in July, we are either going to the beach the week right before or right after I wanted to come down. Depending on when school starts we may be able to come down for this.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I am wfh today. I have been in the office a total of 3 hours in the past 11 work days. It snowed here a little overnight, and now it is sleeting. The kiddos have a 2 hour delay today.

Joy of joys. I get to do a site specific risk assessment for a ball field with some arsenic in it. There are Phd.s who's job this is, but they don't want to put anything in writing.... I guess it all goes downhill to the worker bee. Someone needs to "man-up" and put the parents minds at rest (as much as is possible). Heck, the level that is there is below all safe levels anywhere, AND is below the naturally occuring level of arsenic in soil. This is an easier one. Though, parents are always concerned (as they should be).

Morning Ghoulies! 

It's Monday. Which means I am up early.  So not a morning person.  But I did go to bed on time last night.   Finally got the last of the leaves raked up yesterday.  In the rain.  My low back is a little cranky today, but arms seem fine.  A fairly busy day today at work but ending with an acupuncture session.  That is my most restful nap!  Yeah!

I've marked it on my calendar as a possibility. 

Ditto...though on the good side, there are several applicants for the position that I have open at my branch.  Posting will stay up until Friday, then we will choose and call for interviews.  Woot!
