Yes, I it has been a year. Last year I did 7+ miles around the track between my two kids. This year I only have 1 in elementary school,  I'm expecting 3+ miles out of her.

Good morning!! Guess what? It's snowing at my house. Again!  I suppose it's a good thing I didn't get to plant any flowers last weekend, huh?

And, I am glad it's snow, not tornadoes.

I'm home from the Race For Education. We did 12 laps in about 45 minutes. My daughter was tired toward the end, but she kept moving. We ran some, we walked some. Running on the track hurt my back. Running on the road doesn't. Explain that one.

I am meeting up with Kendra tonight for dinner up near Asheville. She went WW rafting today. HAH! the water is colder than a witch's you know what ! But the day is so pretty it almost hurts. Talk to you manana!

(Go a little swim in today after the Drs appointment). I almost didn't.

Met up with Kendra and her hubbie last night. Fun fun fun. I should have a T-shirt that says '"Help, I'm talking and can't shut up".

Of course, my DH had to wear his kilt. It was his birthday so it is a tradition.

Off to do some yard work and maybe get a run in.

Ya, I feel better today and am still planning on racing. It prob wont be the most amazing time...but the run is at night with head lamps...I can't turn that down!!

I love Montana. I'm originally from Missoula and have family there. It's in July though and I have been a slob. Don't think I can be ready in time. Last year Runners World Mag rated it the #1 marathon in the country. My cousins do it every year. 

So that leaves NYC and fund raising. I think it's $2300. That's a lot of pennies in the cup. 

I run with headlamps in the morning. I have a couple, but my fav clips onto the brim of my cap. Good luck, have fun and watch out for holes/roots etc.

Hello Ghoulies!

My son had a soccer game this morning, the first of the season. They won 6-0. Go team!

After soccer it was home and a quick change then off to marathon volunteering. My son and I were there for 5 hours, my daughter helped for an hour. It wore us out!

There was a guy there who was complaining that they had to walk a quarter of a mile at the end of the marathon to get to their checked bag. At the MCM you had to walk a mile, a quarter mile is nothing, in fact it is good for you after you're done running. Quit whining and get off my lawn!

We are volunteering tomorrow as well. I'm not sure where we'll be but I'm guessing a water station.

I spent yesterday lying down with ice on my face. My whole face was swollen. The DH was out of town raising cane at the Watson festival so he didn't have to witness the worst of it.
