ScotinSeattle - 2008-02-21 7:40 PM Couldn't have asked for a better day to run, just a pity it sucked. I felt far too bloated and my belly kept wobbling and I felt people staring at me and I just felt paranoid. Good thing about it was that I ran at 10:09 for the last mile. Not too shabby for a 12 min miler. I feel kinda sick now though. Too much bloody salt at lunchtime.

Lynne! You make me smile

you did great!

Awww. Everyone here makes me smile! I tell ya it's gotten me through a rough spot recently!!!  Geez

You know what my husband just told me?  How sweet is this. He said Wow,you really are beginning to look like a runner!!!  Or did I take that the wrong way?   He said my legs are much slimmer and it makes me look svelte and taller.  Maybe he just wants some?

That would actually be pretty funny.  I have to run right by 2 of the fire stations I used to work at and the shift that is on duty Sat. used to work for me right before I retired....believe me....they would not think twice about seeing me do something like that...before I grew up and started hanging around my wife and other grown-ups retired I was not known as the ""quiet bashful Battalion Chief with the ultra professional personality""

...I know you ladies find that very hard to believe

Ok. So I think I missed a few days! Who has a 10k? And when? I really can't wait for race season to start. I'm even trying to find a 5K soon because my pants are just too itchy.  I was cleaning out my photobucket and came across race pictures. Pants. HURRY UP!

My next race is a 10K on March 9th. It was SUPPOSED to be a 1/2 marathon but I was just too sick to do the training. I think I can handle 10 miles.

Hi Everyone -

Did a 3 mile run tonight which moves me up the ladder of % complete. Will do more tomorrow. I have my days planned out to where I will hit 110% (not sure if that is legal since I had to reduce my goal due to being sick) at the end of the month.

Good luck to those of you who are racing soon - not sure when my race is - it was to be a 1/2 marathon in April but with this problem shoulder that up to this point was bothered by running I backed out of that.

Good job team.

Stacie

$169 for a year. Which isn't too bad consider they would let me ride real tri bikes!!! Oh la la la la. Maybe I will join.. It just seems a waste just now as I'm going to be gone soon.  I emailed them and asked if start of May is too late to join. So we shall see.

I'll bet you'll do fine! I supposed I could have walked most of it but I personally wouldn't have felt challenged doing that. Now a 10K I can handle. I think. I just don't want to come in last like I did in my last 10K Made me feel like pure pants.

Hi Stacie!

still feeling better?

I am feeling better. Better actually by the day. I am now about 9 days after first coming down with it. Appetite is back and no food problems so far. I took yesterday as another rest day so I am trying to be smart about getting back into it.

How is the new job?

Stacie

I am targeting a 10K on March 22.  They claim it is a fast course, good for PR's.  I am hoping so.  Trying to build towards it and set a PR.  My 2 fastest 10K's ever were at my OLY's last year so I hope I can improve on them without the 1500 m swim and bike rides for for warm ups.

hey scissors. no run for me today, dh doing a double shift. i think i'm ok to meet my goal, and probably even hit 110% so i'm not worried yet.
lynne what race are you doing march 9 (?) i'm planning my first race april 16th-just a sprint tri, but it'd be fun to do a 10k-especially if i knew someone there. yeah?
plus i'm going to be in kirkland the 7th and 8th-dh has a confrence thing, so i'm hanging out @ my sisters house. perhaps i'll stay an extra day, and race. that'd be fun, and give me something to look forward to.
