You know it's funny, Erica - I've heard a bunch of people say they leave out Diet Coke (always Diet) for Santa for the caffeine, sick of milk, whatever. Not Dr. Pepper, not Monsters, not regular Coke, not coffee - Diet Coke. Weird! I ran!!! Okay, I wasn't technically running, but my snowshoes were sinking 2-3" most of the time, and I was up to above-mid-thigh in one spot. I think I'd have been over my head if I didn't have 'shoes on! (not really, but it is funny to think about) My hip flexors hurt a little from lifting my 'shoes through the deep stuff. I'm hoping I laid down a good track for the rest of the winter, if the snowmobiles don't kill it. Too bad I'm going to be gone for several days so I can't maintain it. Oh well. I gotta get back on the mountain trail, too. Yay for SNOW!!!!! Tonight is my last night until Sunday - yippee! I'll wave to Wally while I'm in NJ, and to Erica as I pass through CT. Kristen, you are still in Chicago, right? Anyone else I should wave to? Happy Festivals-to-celebrate-light-in-the-darkness!!
Funny, Bryan asked this morning if we could leave out a Diet Dr. Pepper or Diet Mnt Dew for Santa instead of Diet Coke! |
