esc - 2008-12-18 12:53 AM Yup.  Wasting away my last few minutes surfing BT.  And wrestling with the clunky computer I'm stuck with this evening.

Hi, Emily!

Hi there!  Feeling better today?

A little bit better but had to have a nasty day out there in the cold. Tired ... think I will turn in to bed now.

Night, Nibbs!

It was fun - we had coffee and played around in the work car park with my bike... he is going to bring in an allen key and stuff tomorrow and we are giong to make a few little adjustments!

I'm so glad! I bet he's happy he's found someone with whom to share his passion

hehe well I think he likes how excited I am about it all... and Im sure yuo can tell its genuine..

I really like just having a mate I can talk to about this stuff!

I did a double take there...until the Aussie bit registered.

Welcome back, Melissa!

The roads weren't too bad-a bit slippery. Fortunately there were very few cars on the road. It will be nasty tomorrow. Lots of ice and some black ice to boot.

We had some ice stormy goodness yesterday.  When I left work my car was completely encased in about 1/4 inch of ice.  I had to hack at it with the scraper to get the windows cleaned off.  Good times.  Good times.

Wow computer wrestling... dunno how I would go with that

The key is to not get tangled in the cords.

I will keep that in mind if I ever find myself in that situation...

I signed up as a mentor yesterday but today my name isn't on the mentor list and neither is about 1/2 of the other people that had signed up yesterday. Do they cull the list down? 'Cos if I can't be a mentor then I want to be a mentee and the spaces look like they're filling up fast!

Hi Magda,

If you read Rons instructions you will see that he slowly releases the mentor groups as they fill up so you will go up eventually. There is no culling!!!

Its a way of making sure that all the groups get eually fill and no one misses out if they dont get in on the initial rush!

You will see you are still in teh staging area just waiting to go live - dont worry!

Yeah, airport run over. But I guess also a little sad to see K off. Will you be heading to Nebraska for the holidays?

Morning Nibbs.

Why is it that only one store has Strawberry Shortcake dolls and they hide them in the Bratz?

(Note - I detest Bratz - won't even walk down the aisle 'cause they skeeve me out...but Younger Monkey asked Santa, so sweetly, for a SS doll and underwear. Yeah, I don't get the underwear either, but after a morning of chasing around, I have purchased an SS doll AND SS underwear. Santa rocks.)

*yawn*

The weather in WA is crazy.  Over in Spokane they have had 18" of snow in less than 24 hours.  Only emergency vehicles are allowed on the roads.

We haven't had an astonishing amount of snow here in the Seattle area,  but the freeways are backed up for miles.   Stanwood-30 minutes north of me-had 12" of snow yesterday (before midnight).  It has been a long long time since we've had weather of this sort...not since I was in fourth grade when more than half of the kids spent the night at school because the roads were so bad.

When my daughter was young, everything in her room had to be Strawberry Shortcake. She is now 31, so it is fun to see that what was important to her has come back into style for the kids. Her daughter is now 1 (today is her birthday) and I wonder if when she is old enough to choose will Strawberry Shortcake still be around for her.

I could not imagine spending the night at school. Hopefully they made it fun for all of you back then.
