Today I ran 10 miles

Congratulations! I remember passing that milestone myself about a year and a half ago and it was the most mighty righteous feeling. Good work!!

Just a little plug for the DVD, "The Distance".  Great insight on the whole picture, not just the athlete who is training for the IM.  I don't know what it would be like if my hubby and I weren't both involved in the sport.

Tammy, Dave, and Josh deserve a great big thank you for allowing us to take a peek into their lives.  Well done!

My friend lives in Oconomowoc (sp) and said the weather was nasty. Snow and slush. ( hope I spelled that right, too many O's for my eyes.) We were there a year ago in March and it was relatively warm for that time of year. I was able to do some workouts outside.

Smile Quite strange - because of your wee pic, I find it hard to imagine you in anything other than a red tri suit and shades with a blue sky behind you! (Shame it's not always the way, huh?!)

(Summer is coming...)

Eric watched parts of it and I am sure he will eventually watch the whole thing.  I jumped around the chapters and then watched a good portion straight through.

We watched "Spirit of the Marathon" on Saturday night.  I thought it would be more inspiring than it was.  Al Trautwig and the Ironman broadcasts are tough to beat for inspiration.  Interesting peak at what the elite marathoners go through to be at that level.  Hmmm, an easy day for Deena Kastor is a 20-mile run in the morning and a 6-mile run later in the day.  No wonder they need PT, massages, nutrionists, etc.

March's totals:

February's totals:
Bike: 4h 17m 12s - 9.58 Mi

I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing.

It'll get better next month.

That is so sweet. I think I might cry Lori. I am crying.

It has been an emotional week for me. I am trying to hold it together the best I can. It is not season ending for me. I will not be sidelined by an ACL. I can bike and swim.  I can always walk the run if I have too!

Thank you so much!

If anyone would like to order a tri-top let me know. My husband started a group called 'The Turbo Donkeys' because he thinks donkeys are strong, stubborn, funny, etc. There are 2 options for styles......if you look on the forums under Wisconsin and find the Tri-Donkai Gear thread. Pics are there......Donkey head is $42 and green design is $25. let me know....

Tracy - I am sending you healing vibrations [  [ [[ [[[[ zhzhzhzhzh ]]] ] ] ] can you feel them?? I have BTDT with the injuries and know what you are going through. Dealing with injuries has tested my mental toughness more than any athletic feat. Do what's right for your body, you have many years of tris ahead of you.

I can feel the healing vibes Bab! Thanks so much. My knee felt pretty good coming out of the water today. I can still swim and bike.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Tracy,
I am also sending you some awesome vibes and some prayers. I have knee issues as my constant companion after playing catcher for 20 years. My knees are older than I am. (per my ortho)

You have a great mind set. Keep it going.
