Morning Teamies!

I'm getting excited about tomorrow!!  I'm doing some light gardening today and well ... pretty much eating everything in sight. *laughing*  I'm going to go bonkers without my long run/ride this weekend!! *shaking head*

What's everyone's plan for the weekend?

IMPORTANT CHALLENGE ANNOUNCEMENT!

There are NO "bonuses" this month!

What you run, is what gets recorded on the spreadsheet.

For example:
- You run a 5K race. You record 5K (3.1 miles) on the spreadsheet. (No bonus is given.)
- You run a brick. You record only your running distance on the spreadsheet. (No bonus is given.)
- You complete a tri. You record only your running distance on the spreadsheet. (No bonus is given.)

Also, the maximum you can achieve is 100% of your goal.

If you reach your goal, you may raise it. But you won't earn more than 100%.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask your Team Captain or send me an inspires or PM.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled post padding.

- Dee

Hi Everybody!

Got in a nice 22 mile ride in. Slow, very slow, but I wanted to make sure all was going to stay OK with my injury. So far, so good! It was a good ride and there was no pain. As far as running goes, I may attempt a shorter run in the morning, may not. All depends how I feel later and again in the morning when I wake up. I have been aggressive with icing, stretching and no running and it is paying off. Hopefully within the week I can get back to doing light run workouts.

Hope everyone else is doing well!!

Whooohooooo!!! I had a GREAT time this morning!!  It was hot and sunny and awesome!  The swim was great (but weedy), the bike was good and the run was okay.  I didn't write down my splits - so the race report will have to wait until tomorrow so I can get them off the website ... (I forgot to start my watch.) *sigh*

I saw Jenna and Tabbs and Jeff! I met some more BTers too!! Whooohooooo!!

I had the opposite experience from Stef! My swim was godawful - really terrible! The bike was okay and the run was pretty good. I think I paced myself too much on the run because even though I picked up the pace twice, I still had a lot left when I crossed the line. But I have 5K to add to the spreadsheet, as soon as I figure out how many minutes that equals.

Sorry I've been MIA. I've not been having fun with "life" recently. Today is a new day and after a nice run yesterday I feel brand new.

I changed my goal to 10 hours and updated everything else!  Rock N Roll marathon this Saturday so I shall make my goal NO PROBLEM at all.

3 weeks today till the parental units arrive!

Another run session down.  Today was hills -- slow and steady.  From my times it seems like I was just walking them.

Hope everyone with a race scheduled this past weekend had a good time.  Here in NYC we enjoyed the first dry day in maybe a week or two.  Today, back to gloomy rain. Undecided

It depends upon what you think you can do (without injuring yourself)....

If you just need time off this week, recalc your goal this way:
(original goal) * (30 - days missed due to injury) / 30 = new goal

For example, if your original goal was 50 miles, but you miss 5 days due to injury:
(50 miles) * (30 - 5) / 30 = 41.7 miles revised goal

Thank you - I've added the formula into the equation - I think I was over-ambitious in the first place.

Well, it's supposed to be a challenge. Not a day sunbathing at the beach. So "ambitious" is fine.

Oh, if you're following a training plan, where the mileage ramps up, the calculation is different. In that case, you'd leave out the last few days of the plan.....

I put in 25mins at the gym tonight. I will make my goal - it was only 300 minutes, which is peanuts to a lot of you. It is, however, a huge increase from last month and 20% more than required by my training plan. Even more so than getting the workouts in though is the distance I've covered! I am running a lot faster than I did in May for sure and getting in a lot of extra kilometers with those minutes.

76% on target towards my goal! Definitely going to make with maybe just two more sessions of 50 minutes. It was so hot last night on my run it had to be in the 100's. Not only did i have to deal with the heat but obnoxious men as well.

"hey baby what you doing?"

Running away from you obviously

Nice job on the speed.  It's still something I have to work on, but I agree this challenge has helped a lot.
