Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Nibbs XIX Morning, Nibbs! I'm back, safe & sound... ... maybe not sane, though! I did indeed make the trip with the 2 monkeys, without Sugar Daddy. 28 hours in a car, with two munchkins, in a 4-day time span...I must be a lunatic. It wasn't so bad on Monday night...they slept most of the way, but I was stupid and forgot that everytime I needed to pee, I'd have to wake them up and drag them in with me. And with the coffee and diet Pepsi I was downing to stay awake, that was way more often than was nice. But yesterday we drove during the day...keeping them entertained was not easy. They watched the DVD's we brought with, they played car games, they colored, but they were BORED. They finally did sleep after about 10 hours in the car...of course, I had to stop then too. Oh, and my brothers and I had the very smart idea to help out my dad by drinking up his alcohol before he came home from the hospital...we didn't make a dent in his stash, but we were feeling it something fierce the next day. I think it may take me all weekend to recover from the driving/lack of sleep/crappy eating/hangovers. |
