I've had pumpkin beer that was good, but also pumpkin beer that was weird and gross. I generally can't stand fruit in beer with the exception of some beers from Dogfish Head. Those folks have some kind of magic in their brewery.

crowny2 - 2008-07-31 2:42 PM I ate too much at lunch.  I think I'm gonna explode.

I had McDonald's - my insides are now rotting.

I cannot think of an acceptable reason to do that to oneself.

Oh, it's not the blueberries themselves. It's the fact that they're ruining my beer.

There is also that. OTOH, blueberries stain like a mofo, and a beer stained blueberry makes a great projectile.

Scout7 - 2008-07-31 2:26 PM Beer + fruit = wrong

Untrue! Blue Moon is good with a slice of orange. Hefeweizen is good with a slice of lemon.

I like non-girly beer too. IPA is good, I like darker things, too. I like Guinness, but I can't drink a whole one. But it makes a MEAN cake

You're not really proving your case to me, you know that, right?

Weizen stands alone. That's the point. Heathens.

You are the kind of guy that'd pour blood in a bullet wound, aren't you?

No.  Whiskey.

Fruit in beer....  What's wrong with this world?

Mmmmmm whisssskey.

Jamison, on the rocks, with two lemons.... SOOOOO good......

Maker's Mark.  That is all.

I heart Dogfishhead. I had some sort of other fruity beer variety at their restaurant in Rehoboth (where the brewery is - DE, anyway), called "black and blue" - mmm...

It's right across from my office and all I had to time to go get after lunch at home failed on account of the missing can opener. Believe me, I was cringing at the thought.

Ick, whiskey. I know, I know, but I just don't like it.

I will drink just about anything else with the exception of Jager - unless it is in a Jager bomb.

The ONLY fruit beer i've ever liked is a pomegranate wheat beer made in CO. It's a perfect lawn mowing beer. Light, crisp, NOT SWEET. mmmm. Almost makes mowing the lawn worth it.

Ooooh, that sounds YOM too!

For a chick, I have had, and will tolerate, some VERY crappy beer.  And fwiw, I despise any sort of sorority-house staple, like Smirnoff Ice, Skye, Bacardi things, etc. (though I did have one of the mojito things made by one of those brands and it was tasty).

The wife like Abelor.  I'm not much into Scotch.  I have taken a liking to Vodka lately though.

Good stuff. Too bad it's $45 for a fifth.

Cheaper down here, at least the last time I bought it (about a month ago).

You pay for quality, anyway.
