My mom is in upstate NY, averages over $4.00/gallon.  What are you paying in NC?

ouch!  Depends on where I get gas....anywhere between $3.30-$3.50....plus the localgrocery store has a deal with certain gas stations 10 cents off per gallon for every $50 you spend in the store.....you can get that on the whole tank worth of gas...I average 40 cents  off per gallon every week

Yep, Kroger out here does something similar....  I usu. avg .15 off per gallon, unless it's food co-op week, then I'm down to .05 or .10

Well, dinner's ready, gotta get...

Ouch!

I always giggle at the people here when they are complaining abut the cost... and in New Zealand petrol is a nother couple of dollars a gallon more expensive (approximation based on what it was when i was there in May and a rough conversion)

So all the whining makes me wonder whats going to happen when it matches the situation in other parts of the world....

Doh!

3.19 and falling here.  It's like getting a raise right?

I did think, what if it gets down to like $2.80?  That's like ten bucks a tank.  If you fill up every week, that's $520 bucks a year.  That's a wetsuit, an aero helmet, and an entry fee to a sweet race.

I sold the very first road bike I ever owned today.  <tear>

I rehabbed a knee with it, learned to love BIKES with it, drank with it, decorated the christmas tree with it, and had a lot of deep conversations that solved all sorts of problems with it

Oh well, he's gone on to a good new home.  A lady I work with has a son in college who is interested in "this triathlon thing" so I figured Skip could help out another newbie.  Afterall, he's just been parked in the store room for six months.  Good to have him back on the road.

Morning, Nibbs!

Glad to hear the foot's better, Judi!

I overslept this morning - starting to be an ugly pattern, me thinks! But today's a lightly scheduled day, so I' should be able to pop off my 4 planned miles after work/pre-soccer practice for Elder monkey.

I love LOVE drop-back week on the training plan.

I still have my first bike that I bought myself.  It's a Puegeot 10 speed.  Bought it in 1974.  I can't seem to let it go.  My son has ridden it a bunch and does like it.
