<-- Here. Have one of these nice little blue umbrella drinks. It'll make you feel better. Hm. Maybe that's my problem. I need to drink more and werk less..... Hmmmmm.

Do you have a cabana boy to go along with that drink?

I've got two. Want one? He's wearing a Speedo.

Are you collecting them?

Yep. Absolutely. One can never have too many Speedo-wearing Cabana boys. Especially ones that serve you blue drinks with little umbrellas in them. Of course, if I had a pool, I could watch them clean it.... But I don't. So I can't. Oh well.

Maybe you could send them out to deal with the local pool and evict the current residents?

Nah. I don't want to subject my cabana boys to cockroaches. They might quit, and stop serving me little umbrella drinks. That would make me sad.

Very true... maybe you can just get a paddling pool then?

Red Rover, Red Rover - send a cabana boy right over!

You got it. He's on his way. With a little umbrella drink.

Woo Hoo!  I guess that means it's time to go home and lay seductively (or maybe lean drunkenly) on the sofa!

Night, Nibbs!

Dear Cat,

You are in Oz. It is summer there. I am not in Oz. It is not summer here. In fact, my paddling pool (or rather comenandgetit's), besides being all of 6 inches deep, is a tad frosty right now.

Your frozen pal,
Dee

Who said the paddling pool had to be located outside of the house?

Put the heat on and put it in the lounge room!

Um. Dog + water = big mess. The carpet would be soaked in about 2.3 seconds flat.

I've never used a pull buoy. But now that I've overdeveloped my kick from the one-armed swimming, I wonder if I should try it.

Being not of a swimming background whatsoever, is the pull buoy the "prop"/"device" that you insert between your legs (keep it clean here folks) to keep you from kicking and just used to focus on arms?

Leave it to you to not miss a device that goes between your legs

Yes, it's a figure 8 shaped foam thing you put between your thighs, from what I understand to minimize kicking and practice pulling. Some people like the flotation help too, which is why I never used one. I didn't want it to be a crutch while learning to swim. But I kick way too much now.
