No word yet. He said he would call me today.   I called 4 times today. He called while I was swimming! He then never got back to me. I know they are busy, but I need to know if they are going to have to amputate above the knee!!!!!!

I did the ellipitical today. Knee was screaming by the time I was done. I can't believe I screwed up my knee this badly. I can swim and bike though. I can always walk the run if I have to.

That really sucks! But at least you have an excuse to really concentrate on your swmming

Don't push too soon and you'll be back at it better then ever before you know it.

Ok, forced my rather large self out of bed this morning for 30 minutes of 4/1 walk/run. I was thinking of doing it again tomorrow but use 3/2 walk/run because I was feeling pretty good. Then my left achelles locked up at work today. May walk only tomorrow and am going to get the bike out this weekend. I'll be out of town for work next week, Monday-Friday only, so a lot of walk/runs then.

Reply sent, thanks.

I really need to trim my hobbies, between this, scuba diving, putting miles on my motorcycle and work I sometimes don't know which way is up. But then, I still manage to find the time to watch 2.5 hours of TV a week

George.

Tammy, I am all about nutrition talk. It was I struggle the most with. I have heard so many different nutritional concepts.

I would like to know how many calories I should be eating a day. What percent carbs? I was told today 70%. Oh, I have lots of questions.

Ugh, my coach had me log everything I ate in Training Peaks for a few days.  Not a pretty sight.

Yes, I eat too much processed food.  I don't eat enough fat.  I don't eat enough calories.  Which I don't get.  If I am not eating enough calories I should be losing weight, right?

My worst discovery?  My Starbucks non-fat, no whip mocha is 170 calories.  Who knew?   Wink

My soy latte is 230-270 calories. I look at it as protein. I eat very little meat, so therefore it is my meat of the day!!!

Lori, I started logging about 3 weeks ago. I am down 4 pounds in that time. Once I figure out what I am eating. What I should not be eating, I could easily make corrections.

My coach is going to figure out how many calories I should be eating. I used a formula I found on BT, like there are a 1000 of them, to calculate how many calories I should be injesting just for base metabolism. It was 1885.

I stay fairly full in that range. It allows me to eat my low fat icecream sandwiches and Dove dark chocolate. 2 staples/treats of my diet that I can not let go of.

If you are not eating enough calories, your body thinks it is in starvation mode. It conserves the fat as much as it can. If you get som excess calories it is more willing to deplete the fat reserves. I think is the main reason why some of us don't lose weight while working out like we do. We don't eat enough!

Now, this is all just my opinion. Take it for what it is worth.

Went out this morning was going to do the 4 minute walk: 1 minute run but my left leg was still bothering me. So taking that as a sign I didn't build up enough of a base walking I just walked the whole thing instead. 31 minutes just under two miles.

Could be worse, I'm running Vista on my computer which doesn't support my IR device to download my workouts. BTW is that an additional 2 pounds above the message you sent me the other day? And where could you possibly need to lose weight from

Sometimes it calculates the calories burned. Other times it doesn't. I am so thankful my heart rate monitor is very simple and can not be uploaded into anything. Our coach just has to trust me. I bought a Garmin, but couldn't get it to work properly so returned it. Now, I see they are coming out with a waterproof version.

The only problem with not having an all-in-one watch is that I have to wear 2 watches!!! I also have to memorize mile markers on my runs so that I know when to hit the lap botton on my Nike Triax.

So if you want to look like rea tri geek, break the Garmin and wear 2 watches. We would look good running down the trail together!!

Off to ride for 1.5 hours!
