Well I am hitting the road and getting out there for my 33k.

So far Sunday has been less crummy than yesterday.

Dear makers of Gu,

I love your product. I'm a big fan. I really do believe it helps my performance. You need to do something about the product design though. When you are 15 miles into a 20 mile run you are tired, hot, and sweaty. It is difficult to open those little slippery packets. I tried and tried but I just couldn't get it open. I eventually had to throw it on the ground and stomp on it to get it open. Not only did this really slow down my split for that mile, I now have road rash on my tongue from licking the Gu off of the ground after I finally got the packet open. Please speak with your enginners and consider making the packets out of sandpaper, or having a zipper on them, or maybe a button you push to open them.

P.S. I really hope the bug I licked off of the ground wasn't from your product.

34k + gravel + lots of friggin hills= ow...just sayin...need to officially map that sucker out...oh it was raining too about 1/2 way in...so im cold too now...in wet clothes...lying on my bed. My dad came up and told me this was probably a bad plan and that my "bed will be wet"...but don't worry..i've got 2 towels wrapped around me. My ankle kinda hurts...stupid gravel road...yay Ann...I used Carb-Boom today...they have a wider knoe thingy thats easier to grab than Gu. I might like Carb-Boom better....its less bolus-y...that's'the best word I can come up with for it...lol...sorry about my random ranmble...lol

Good morning Ghoulies!

I'm a little tired this morning, and my big toe hurts. Other than that I don't feel too bad.

How was everyone's weekend?

wgraves7582 - 2010-09-20 7:48 AM So Friday I was driving to the Y for a swimmy swim and I pull onto our highway out of downtown and my car just stops running.

I laugh, pull over, call our mechanic, call his tow guy, he tells me he can't tow on the thruway so I push it/roll it back off the highway down the on-ramp, wife picks me up, car is taken away, and $275.00 I have a new timing belt!

Life is always interesting!!

That does not sound like a good time at all!

No not really.  At least it wasn't worse than 275 bucks!

I just laughed.  I asked the DW if it was a problem that I lose my temper with my kids for being dumb and I just laugh at the car when it breaks down?

The best part was Friday morning I looked at the odometer and thought wow that is a lot of miles and I have never been in a car that broke down on the road.  I have always been able to drive it home or to mechanics.

Then Bam!!!!  Guess I was prepared!

Well the kids CAN think for themselves and make their own decisions. The car... not so much.

Morning Ghoulies. I see that Ann is playing nicely with the boys today.

Sorry about the car, Bill. At least the breakdown happened safely and 275 for a timing belt is cheap!
