Master 2642 Bloomington, MN | Subject: RE: TAN #180 Degrees (Turn Around, Every Now and Then) pitt83 - 2012-08-31 7:18 PM I get to strip out some landscaping which is out of control, prune the azaleas I want to keep and replant the whole thing. Why oh why do I get involved in home projects every weekend? If I'm lucky, I get to strip down the tub drain and remove the nest of hair and soap from the trap so it drains properly. Then, in Monday, I get to make dinner for my in-laws. You may ask yourself, "well, how did I get here"? When you are done with your work, com on over. I have at least that much to do! I'll buy beer. |

My mom is a brilliant PHD in nursing/teacher/professor... WAY smarter then me... but apparently, has an affinity for trashy murder mystery novels and martinis! Funny to see that side of her. Anyway, she has loaned a few to me through our Kindle accounts and they are FANTASTIC! I can't put them down. I like reading them on my Ipad and phone... are they the patterson women's murder club books? (they always have a number in the title) one of my trashy guilty pleasures! |

I like reading them on my Ipad and phone... are they the patterson women's murder club books? (they always have a number in the title) one of my trashy guilty pleasures! She probably has them. She has over 400 books on her Kindle. But the are the Steve Winslow mystery by Parnell Hall. I'm on #2 and it's just as good as the first. I'm looking forward to raiding my mom's collection and reading most of them. Maybe I shouldn't say "trashy" as in sexy, but more like "dime store" novels. Fantastic! |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN #180 Degrees (Turn Around, Every Now and Then) My riding buddy stood me up this morning for our 6am ride. So I had to do my four hours by myself. It wasn't bad - even without converstation or music or anything... (I'm not going to argue about music, BTW). When I talked to him later, he was mad at ME for standing HIM up. He said he texted saying to push it off till 6:30 but I never got them. I arrived at the appointed time, waited for 10min and left. Come to find out, his phone was not getting/sending texts. He had to eat some humble pie and offered to buy me a drink to make up for it. |

Maybe . At least if you don't get a reply text. |

Bake the, off until 5:00 and it's Sunday dinner time! Still have to make caprese salad and decide between roasted potatoes or rice. Bottle of Cabernet already picked out for destruction! |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN #180 Degrees (Turn Around, Every Now and Then) You never know what you will see on a run. I was an hour in when I saw a girl in a cotton candy pink Cinderella dress and tiara just sitting on a bench texting in the park next to one on the lakes in my neighborhood. I thought the sun was finally getting to me. Soon after, a late 80's Chrysler minivan with most of he paint flaked off stopped next to her and she piled in and took off. |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN #180 Degrees (Turn Around, Every Now and Then) Teejaay - 2012-09-03 1:24 PM I'm not sure how you make them, but I learned a new way that prevents that most of the time. Bring the water and eggs to a boil slowly, let simmer for 60 seconds, remove from heat and cover. Let sit for 12 minutes... I used to just let them boil away and get knocked around or put them in water already boiling. The rapid heat change blew them up.lisac957 - 2012-09-03 12:09 PM Just made some hard boiled eggs and thought of TAN Dang. These are good. Me too! I made 6 and one had a blow out during boiling. So sad. I just did a WOD in crossfit that has to be my hardest completed yet! I'm feeling wiped out but pleased to have finished before the cut off time! |
