triniki - 2008-09-08 7:55 PM Can someone check to make sure I posted my stuff correctly?

Sure, unless someone else already has. Artemis?

The only thing you have to do is add the tri times to your training log so they show up there, too.  Other than that it looks good.

I remember a thread in Triathlon Talk about pools and some people were using a tether on the ladder for short pools. I'm sure it's not as exciting (kind of like the dreadmill), but likely better than swimming in tiny laps.

I swam in circles at a hotel pool.  It was a 10 meter pool, but just wide enough that circles (ok ovals) worked.

Oh, I like this. The alphabet, so much more interesting than chanting the numbers ... if only I don't get lead astray rearranging the letter for a better scrabble score.

hahaha...don't give me more ways to distract myself!!

who me?

It might be nice if I did some real training instead of just padding. I'll get going tomorrow night when I'm home so I can catch up before we have to report again. This IM stuff had me really distracted!

Really, it was simpler than stroke-stroke turn stroke-stroke turn ... ovals seemed a better choice and more true to a race swim - no kick turns (ha like I can do them) or wall touch lung gasping turns.

I got paddled a lot in 2nd and 3rd grade for fighting even though they were not always my fault.

Someplace in 2nd-3rd grade is where I came up with the notion that no one should pick on those that are weaker or smaller.

Could be that I was #4 of 6 kids.  5 boys 1 girl.  It seems to have shaped a lot of things in my life.
