TriAya - 2010-10-18 12:41 PM Judi, you are one persistent determined serious case of HTFU.

This is a good case of the pot calling the kettle black Laughing

Yeah, um, yeah um

I *almost* did a half-mary yesterday. *Almost*. Just, you know, to prove to myself I was still alive. (I don't think I would have lasted long).

And because heck, they were LITERALLY holding a half-mary in MY HOOD ... nothing happens in Bali!

I'm glad though, that once in a while, God gets through to me

Pop tarts sound very tasty but I don't have any. None at work and none at home.
Its about lunch time anyway so I'll be eating soon enough. Then I'll have some gummy penguins for dessert.

Hey Crushers!  Just popping in for a drive-by hello.  Due to my "fun" work schedule, this week I have Friday on a Monday then I have three days off to try and get my house and yard back in order.  And maybe get some training done.  And maybe go to the grocery.  And get a nap.  And read a book.  And watch a movie.

Clearly,  I need more than three days off in a row.

I'll try and stop in for chit-chat once the big boss goes home and I can be a slacker at work without getting caught.

Hello fellow Crushers!!

Been a good weekend for me, my Tigers beat Maryland and CJ Spiller came back to have his jersey retired which was awesome, but I think it made everyone miss him more as it's been a bit of a rough football year for us.  He did donate $100,000 to Clemson which was really cool.  Training wise I have yoga and a run on the schedule for today and possibly some strength training if i have time.  Hope everyones having a great Monday.

Went and inspired some of our teammates that are down in the 30% or so range to come back and help us out. Hopefully that helps.

I did 8 mile run yesterday, will see how the legs do with 5 today.

Good weekend - tried out the clothes that I will wear for the 1/2 mary and it worked well. The fuel belt I got does everything the reviews said it wouldn't. Fabulous - wore it for 2 miles and took the thing off. Not sure what to do about that.

Ordered some new shoes and body glide to use on race day. Will need the new shoes right before then and might need to use the body glide. Got it to raise my total over $100 so footlocker.com would give me $20 off.

Other than that nothing special going on. Hope everyone is having a good monday.

I had one that I bought to use on 20+ mile trail runs. I spent $65 on it and hate it. I actually run about 1 min per mile slower when I wear it.

I'm feeling totally stir crazy. I feel like I need to get out of here and go do some trail running.  I haven't been out running for a few days and the office is driving me crazy. At least when I work from home I can turn on the radio or something to break up the monotony.

The guy next to me plays this game all day so there is this incessant clicking until he finally dies and I get a short reprieve while he starts up the next game.

Shermbelle - 2010-10-18 1:09 PM Got in a  nice 11.4 mi run today, loving these perfect fall days!

Awesome! My shin is a bit sore from the weekend and not loving the impact right now but I'll do what I can this week and no doubt have a crazy one next week to get on target!

Just realised I need to swim every other day to hit that target but that shouldn't be a problem, just boooooring....

Welcome to my world, Rachel. Undecided

I feel for you, I really do. I know lots of people find it relaxing, calming, peaceful, whatever, but I don't!  Plus I have a tonne of one arm drills to do right now which work just fine on one side but on the other I end up nearly drowning. I'm sure it looks hilarious to anyone watching!

rnihill - 2010-10-18 10:32 PM I didn't make any cheesecake or cookies this weekend...  but I did make 4 apple pies with the girls while my hubby was off fishing on Saturday.  We froze 3 for later in the year and have one to eat now.

Mmmm, apple pie
Maybe I'll make some this weekend.

pdbman - 2010-10-19 1:33 AM I swear they must have changed something on BT lately. I've never had a double post in my life until today and it was a double blank post. All I did was start typing and the screen changed and there is was. My first double post. Over the last couple weeks I've had a problem where I start typing and it posts before I'm finished. Sometimes with text, sometimes without. Anyone else having similar problems?

I had a double blank post, same thing, yesterday....

pdbman - 2010-10-19 1:58 AM Congrats on the draw Rachel. I take that as a good thing that you went up against a more experienced opponent and came out with a draw.

Thanks Paul
I'd like one more fight against someone else and then I'm going to try for a rematch.

Anyone around right now?
I'm giving myself about 30mins of peace before I start on my manic work schedule for the day.

Bribery may have worked Tongue out  I did 24 minutes on the bike, all the shuttle thyng squats, calf raises AND JUMPS.  He is thinking about a run.  My guess is a couple weeks if no problem from this,  Not even 1:1 intervals....but a run is a run.

Switched up my runs to do 3 miles today and 5 tomorrow. Noticed earlier today knee pain in the left knee and it came back under a mile into the run tonight. Called it at a mile. Just didn't want to push it. Will ice and elevate and see if it is just not happy from the 8 yesterday. Blah.

Hope the twinge today is nothing serious!
