Wow - a nice run at lunchtime, cold but sunny - should NOT have eaten so many cashews before running, just saying.

Oh bike porn - here's a pic of mine from Google.

Unnamed.  It's a boy for sure, I've toyed with the name Terenzo - coz I like the idea of riding him all day!

reneehoyos - 2013-05-14 1:10 AM Manees! How are you all accessing folks workouts and race logs? I'm loving the inspires and would like to do some for y'all. Lemme know.Oh. Odd thing in the pool today. I could smell the guy in the next lane's cologne. Underwater. Ever had that happen? Every time he'd pass me, I'd get a whiff underwater. That is the first time I have ever smelled someone in the pool. I felt like a marine mammal!

You truly must be a manatee.

Renee is a SURFER! She's like a pre-qualified Manatee!

I live in Surferville in Bali. However, if I surfed, that's ALL I'd do, and I already seem to be overly obsessed occupied with other slightly dangerous, somewhat water-based pursuits.

Trek. Terrenzo. Definitely a ring to it. Plus it has that whiff of breaking in a Kiwi boy to it and I'm quite sure that must be the most fun of all. Challenge Wanaka ...

rrrunner - 2013-05-13 9:27 PM Here she is! Home safe & sound after a short maiden voyage. I'm thinking Fiona, for the character in Burn Notice. I'd trust that chica with my 6 any day, and she's hawt.

Awesome!  Perfect name.  Fiona is totally hawt and so is your bike.

Like Trek and Terrenzo, Felt and Fiona go together ... Felt makes great bikes. Great. Pink/purple and black go with EVERYTHING. I am an 80s child, and it is so.

Well ... I don't know why, every time I see a medical professional, they look at me as if they don't know how I've managed to stay alive in this world which is rummaging around the borders of my mental capacity.

Somehow the broken toothpick end had actually fish-hooked itself in, so that any attempt to retrieve it (i.e., my hour of increasingly questionable methods self-stabbing) buried it deeper. The dentist had to cut it out. Even I was shocked at its shape and size. I'd spent the night with a small fishhook jammed deep into the gums between two teeth and poking at a nerve root.

So I got sent home with antibiotics, painkillers (a true rarity in Indonesia), and strict instructions to not exert myself for a few days (so the gums can heal together properly and rebuild the blood vessels blah blah blah) and eat soft foods only on one side.

It's not really hurting but I am insanely tired. I guess I was insanely tired all last week, too, even before this happened. It occurred to me I've been double full steam with a double cream head since before IMNZ on Mar 2, so maybe I should just rest. I think the German side of me is what feels insanely guilty if I don't do much for a day or two.

So I had a piece of red velvet cake (very soft!), half a mango and coffee for breakfast today and am back in bed, albeit doing stuff via computer and phone. But I'm resting!

Forced rest is better than no rest, I suppose.  I feel some of your pain--I had a temp crown put in 2 weeks ago and I have been having jaw and headaches ever since.  Not pain really, just dull ache.  So I guess I don't have any clue about what you are feeling Wink.  Good job on the soft food choices too!

Pretty sure if you dip pop tarts into your coffee they will be soft enough.

Not too shabby. They're keeping things in that area down to a dull throb.

Unfortunately that space in between my teeth is uneven, so it's a real food trap and floss actually tamps it down further.

yanti

What a crack up!

Love it. Typical evening at the Funny Farm. I miss those guys so much.

I do love lizards. Just any type of a certain variety, NOT.
