Mmmm, I just had leftover lasagne for lunch and it was so delicious that it almost made up for the crappy work week I have been having so far.

QueenZipp - 2010-10-18 7:59 PM Bribery may have worked Tongue out  I did 24 minutes on the bike, all the shuttle thyng squats, calf raises AND JUMPS.  He is thinking about a run.  My guess is a couple weeks if no problem from this,  Not even 1:1 intervals....but a run is a run.

HAPPINESS

That really is happiness!!  Great news!!!

I know I'm talking to myself but I 'd just like to share just one of the myriad of stupid things I have done at work so far this week. I ran a PCR reaction - if you don't know what it is, don't worry, just know that it is run on a block which cycles through different temperatures for a couple of hours. Our machines have 2 blocks each, sadly I pout my samples on block B and pressed run on block A - doh!
I'm certainly not staying late (date night tonight ) so it will have to run overnight now!

When I was a kid I thought it was the coolest show ever, now 25 years later it is so freakin cheesy it just drips of cheese. But always fun to relive those Friday nights at 8 years old. Cool

The trial work day session went well yesterday for the most part. I was a little bit rusty since I haven't done kinesiologist work in a year. Mostly I picked up the passive treatment application quickly since I had used most of it before. I got to take out acupuncture needles for my first time (after having been taught by the physiotherapist of course). I saw a traction machine being used but didn't try it myself yet. I find that machine a little bit... scary - but once I have seen it in action a few times I'll be more confident about it. I did very well in the gym area since I know my stuff when it comes to exercises, and I talked more while in there to demonstrate my knowledge since I was weaker in passive treatment. I need to brush up on the orgins and insertions (where the muscle tendons attach) of muscles. It looked pretty bad when I was asked to do ultrasound on the piriformis but couldn't identify the orgin and insertion points (although I knew the general area). So today I am brushing up on orgins and insertions before I go to a second interview for a different company this afternoon.

No word yet from them (Monday) but hopefully they will get back to me soon and let me know so that I can stop looking or move on. I did like it there though!

I have a 4km tempo run on the menu today. I will start tempo speed and if my foot acts up I will slow down. I haven't done a tempo run since I injured it and it is still acting up when I stretch it.

I didn't do my strength training yesterday, so my 1 hour workout the other day to get ahead only filled this gap. I hope to do 1 hour again today because I want to finish before the end of the month.
