the big D.

still waiting on the decree to arrive in the mail.  apparently the courthouse functions on a business day calendar and not a regular calendar like the rest of us folks.  90 days means 90 BUSINESS days.  should put us at mid-November for everything to be final.

the mediation process.

a living HELL.not because mediation should be difficult, but my soon to be EX has been a COMPLETE PAIN IN THE ARSE.he thinks its unfair that he should have to pay alimony.  uhm.  unfortunately the court doesnt agree with him.  thankfully for me it MATTERS to the court that financially i am currently a SIGNIFICANT DISADVANTAGE and that my needs should be met cause i've been home mothering his children for the last 13 years and NOT building a career.  thank GOD for the court!


my new man.

handsome and RIDICULOUSLY in LOVE with me.  need i say more.  i will add. we DID meet at a bar, but in spite of all the notions of meeting someone in a bar this IS NOT that.  can we say soulmate?  where it goes from here, i dont know....and frankly, its not important.  what's remarkable to me is that im open to LOVE and POSSIBILITIES.  i DO know he's taking me to VEGAS in January


my new job.

scored this interview the same day i faxed my resume.  scored a job offer the same day as the first interview.  had my first client in less than a week.  i am working for a social service agency providing mobile therapy for clients between 3 and 18.  challenging but OH SO REWARDING.  the UPSIDE....i get paid HANDSOMELY and once im up to a full caseload (30 hours is considered full time) i will not only have FULL health benefits, i will be making enough that with the addition of child support i will be able to support me and the boys.  can we all say WAHOOOOOO for financial independence.

THIS will be important come 2013.up until then, in lieu of alimony (remember soon to be EX did NOT want to have to pay....) i will live in our home essentially mortgage and utility free.after three years....well we'll get there when we get there.

and YES im still working at the Y.  YES im still working out.  NO i havent been training and NO i havent done a TRI since April....but i can still fit into my jeans.  that's all i really care about

so all that to say....LIFE IS GOOD....and like predicted....I AM BETTER THAN F-IN FINE.

never think for one second that the Universe isnt conspiring for your good.

my life is PROOF of that.

I think I'm going for a quick run...I have to drop my Dad off at the base and I need to do something...

I haven't gone for a run since the marathon....I guess there is no better time than the present to start up again...and its 7C outside!! IN NOVEMBER!!! YAY YAY YAY!

Then I have to come home and get ready to go to my friends' concert...same friends as last time, but its their first headlining show!
