I can't keep up, sounds like you all are having such fun. I think it's just going to be easier posting inspires to each of you personally . Thanks God Yanti made that nice handy-dandy list for us! I had a 100 mile weekend, swam almost two miles, ran a little more than 10 miles, biked a little more than 88 miles. Today's a definite rest day, my legs are toast after yesterdays sufferfest through windy Kansas. Hopefully tonight I'll get a chance to read the last few days of posts, I know there's entertainment value in here! Cheers! 100 mile weekend + wind factor = 10,000 calorie weekend or thereabouts. Way to kick azz! Oh thanks Yanti, I'm still hungry too, my body's still nagging me about the deficit. Should be caught up by tonight. No Pop Tarts in the house though, they don't last long with 12 and 15 years olds around. Have you seen the new Pop Tart mini-crisps product? |

Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD ukweeble - 2012-04-23 12:42 PM Just found out my final position now that the provisional results are available. I came 423rd out of 444. In my age group i came 45th out of 45. My original goal was to finish a triathlon. period. My hope was that i would not come last. As i have moved along my journey, i have come to enjoy what i have chosen to do, even though i know that i am not naturally built for it. I have also raised my expectations due to my competitive gremlin sneaking out of it's box, and so whilst i am pleased that i completed my challenge, i was a bit disapointed to see my overall position and to find that i was last in class. I know that i have only been at this for 31/2 months and that i have already come a long way, but i am about to kick it up a level. I want you all to get behind me and push/encourage and generally nudge me further along this path that i have chosen. I don't have long before my next race and i am aiming to be further up the results page when i bring you my next race report. Rant over and things now off my chest. So how are your Mondays going? It's still raining here (about 10 days in a row), went out to celebrate the wifes birthday and it tipped it down. Allen, Happy to push and encourage. What I found in my second race, was that I had been really pacing myself in my first race. I had no idea how my body was going to respond to doing all 3 sports in one session, in the middle of a HR raising, adrenaline pumping race. After that first one, I knew I had much left in the tank, and so could go out much harder in the next. You may find the same. |

Today for me was working cruise ship for some extra dough, feel good had a little residual soreness yesterday but ready to jump into my sprint tri training plan tomorrow, with longer rides for May. I just have to remember to take it easy on the running since I haven't done much/any since the half mary in January
Don't worry Allen I think you have a few agitators in the mix here that will keep pushing you
Now to hit the couch, 2 4 am wake ups in a weekend can tire you out |

I can hardly ever hold myself to just one bowl. I do the, "Oh I didn't put enough milk in. Oh oops, too much milk, now I need more cereal" thing over and over and have gone through an entire box more than once. If I am out of milk, I have put water in my cereal. Running has fueled the fire of this addiction, too. Thank goodness I have found fiber one. It *naturally limits me to one bowl, tastes pretty good and has great carb/protein/fiber ratios. |

Now to hit the couch, 2 4 am wake ups in a weekend can tire you out Rest up captain Kirk (I know, so forking original, eh?) You deserve it! Also, yes, sloooowly ramp up that running. I thought you said alligators at first, not agitators. Either way, I am trying to think of what noise gators makes. If I knew, I'd be making it right about now. Mine is gummy bears and the gummy colas, I think that having a place that sold them open 24 hours while working midnight shift is the reason why I panicked got into the bike unit and decided to tri. (One good pun deserves another Salty)
And I thinnk gators kind of Hisss? Where is Kate when we need her? |
