Great race!  A finish is a finish good job, that wind sounded brutal.

Ok, trying to get updates but can't get 1586 to give anything and I can't find Claire's bib #, what was it?

It doesn't look like any times have been updated -- not even for pros, and they should all be out on the bike by now. (Well, maybe not Reece -- the relays were going to start in the last swim heat.)

I'm seeing that.  Was there a delay or just tech fail you think?

Tripopo - 2012-06-10 8:56 AM I'm seeing that.  Was there a delay or just tech fail you think?

I'm thinking a tech failure. The conditions are almost ideal (well, a little warm and a little windy) right now. It's 80 degrees, clear, and 18 mph winds out of the SSE. There were no storms overnight.

The scuttle butt on the race thread over the last couple days is that the swim would not be wet suit legal -- so even the water temperature is warm -- about 78/79 degrees. Amazing for a fairly large lake.

(It means I can get away with another year of racing without a proper wetsuit because if that lake is warm enough, then every lake I'm going to swim in is going to be really warm.)

I know. That went through my mind, too. St. George was crazy and then Boise was even stranger -- pros riding with wetsuits? I can't even imagine that.

Felicia that's funny because I'll wear my wetsuit right up to the legal limit because I need the buoyancy!

Athlete tracking is still not working at Ironman.Live for Kansas 70.3. It's working for the other races today. People should start finishing soon. Well, Reece is probably already done with his bike leg. I hope it went well for him.

Just got in from an 8 mile run. It is hot and windy here. I hope it's not as windy in Lawrence.

Claire is in her last leg of the run if the tracker is accurate!  Go Claire Go!!!

Good to hear TJ, being dehydrated is one of the worst feelings.

I just got home and checked. Tracking looks like it is working. Claire is out of the water in 52:17, her bike time was 3:39:04 and her first split on the run is 1:26:04.

Did Reece ever say what the name of his team was? I think I found them, based on their location, but I'm not sure it is them. Unfortunately, you don't seem to be able to search just by relay.

I think this is it:

I think Reece's team was first in relay.

Swim: 28:30

Bike: 2:28:03 (Reece's leg)

Run: 1:32:40

For a finishing time of 4:31:14 -- first in all legs and first over all in relay. (I hope I've got the right team.)

Still waiting for Clare's numbers to update. I'm pretty sure she's within minutes of finishing.

She finished! 7:36:09. Her run was really consistent.

Congratulations, Clare!!
