Well, time to get to work (and find my water bottle... can't figure out where I left it????) I'm sort of hanging around. Got pretty busy and still haven't had lunch. So I'm seeing all these previews for the Dark Knight, and I thought about how far Batman has come since stuff like this: (that's me with the fins) Gee Bill... I thought for sure being from the south, that you'd be more a fan of Aquaman!!!! He was BIG where I grew up!!! |

In between Morgan City and Thibodeaux... my father was a commercial alligator and crawfisherman and owned tugboats... mom owned/managed trailer parks (yep we lived in one of maybe only 100 actually houses in a community with about 3000 households). You had to drive through swamp roads to get to any major grocery store. IN the summer the mud bakes and combine that with the local pogey plant, and your gagging. |

Sounds delightful. Almost as good as medical waste. (I once swam through a cove amidst red bags marked with biohazard symbols. We made jokes about it. Later on, we found out that yes, it was medical waste.... And then there was the time that we swam through a sewage spill. It smelled, and we made jokes about it. Later on, we heard it was raw sewage.... Sometimes, I am amazed at how long I've lived despite the things that I've done. LOL) But at least they're only talking about changing the swim location, right? So you'll still have a swim portion, just "somewhere else." |
