Mission Beach is about an hour away from me. I'm in N. San DIego county. However, if you'd like to swim in my swimmin' hole I'd meet you there if we could work out the time/day. It's in La Jolla and doesn't take me as long to get to and it's just 15 minutes or so north from Mission Beach. PM me with the particulars and hopefully we'll be able to meet up and get a photo and perhaps a nice swimmy in. :-)

Ask and you shall receive!! Here it is and it's in my garage. I need to buy shifters for it and it's going to take some time to get used to riding in aerobars, but for a nice flat race I think it will work out great. I'd been considering a tri bike but would have only bought a low end starter with this one it's a higher end bike and has higher end components, Dura Ace, and while it's used (500 miles) and a couple of years old it's a great way for me to see what tri-bikes are like. It's really pretty, too.  I'll try and get a better picture with more light because this photo doesn't quite do it justice.

Also decided to do a local community 50 mile bike ride tomorrow for my 3:15 scheduled bike ride. DH will ride, too so should be fun. Hope you all have a great 4th of July.

OK, super random request--but I have faith that our fearless leaders (or other super duper manatee teammate) will help me out. I am in desperate need of a new avatar. Prior to the site reset a few months ago, I had a pretty sparkly pink star. Somehow it was deleted, and I didn't have it saved on my computer. I would really like a sparkly red star this go-round. (My University of Utah Utes always wear red. So shouldn't I wear red, too?) Is there any chance that there is one out there, just floating around, looking for a new home? Maybe one that has been recently glitter-fied by the TinkerBeth?  Pleeease? I've been a good manatee all year, and I promise to eat my veggies.
