Hey Reapers...  Got on the bike today for an hour.  Gonna try running tomorrow - probably just a couple of miles to test out the new inserts and the knee....

Ya'll are doing great - keep it up!

What type of inserts did you get?

Hey teamies!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I raced yesterday (and did good!), ran again this morning, then went for a bike ride.  How wonderful it is to have time to do these things -- life is good!  Unfortunately it's back to reality tomorrow.  I'm traveling this week, so my running will have to be on the hotel treadmills.  But I'm racing again next weekend, and that should get me to my goal!

Have a great week everyone...

I. am. tired.

That is all. No running this weekend, but I know I was going to have a lot going on, so I didn't plan on running this weekend, anyway.

* Running = wogging, in my case.

Looks like everyone has had a pretty good weekend. Been good down here in MS, as well. Ran my 15k yesterday, no foot issues, and a PR. I'm just under 7 miles away from my goal, and I am positive I will reach it in spite of the foot. I will at least run Tuesday with my marathon training group and Saturday in the duathlon. That should come to 10 miles or so total. So, I'll definitely be 100%.

What type of inserts did you get?

Went to a "Foot Solutions" store and had my feet professionally measured for pressure points and contour.  They made me a set of inserts to support my suppination problem (wedges on the outside of the heels) and to support my high arches.  The inserts were about $120 (more than my shoes) but the custom orthotics are much more expensive if that is what I need...

Well at least you'll only have a short trip to my house.  Heck, you could probably run there, and get to your goal.

No. You enjoy being tasered and cattle prodded. I'll have to come up with a different plan to instill fear into you.

I don't like people, so you can practice on pretty much anyone, and have it not scare me.  Plus I don't work post op people.

I am trying to figure out something fabulous to make for dinner tonight.  Any suggestions?

Not sure if this one is completely kid-friendly, but I made this Spaghetti Squash recipe this weekend.  It was super yummy.  http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Spaghetti-Squash-I/Detail.aspx

Enjoy your run this afternoon!

It would be better if it was wrapped in bacon.

Yum!  I forgot that tonight is Scout night and we have dinner on the fly tonight.  But, I will use the spaghetti squash recipe soon.  Steak is Bryan's favorite.  Grilled of course!
